I've never understood the people who come into a certain game's thread to make a proclamation (with a pic for actual confirmation lol) that they are no longer going to play the game.

No need to justify anything or seek validation for switching it up, it's your prerogative to stop playing and move on to something else.

Or is it a subliminal way of saying to others "Hey all, I'm moving on to this new game! Who's with me!?".

You can just as easily stop playing gta and move on to another thread. Then jump right back in when dlc & heists are added.

I'm going to go into the NCAA 14 and CH2K8 forums to let everyone there know I'm not going to be playing those anytime soon. I'll post a pic of my OSOS Sultan.

While I'm at it I will send the same message to my fantasy leagues, friends, fiancee, family and co-workers...

I don't know, it seemed to me that people were giving valid reasons why they've decreased their gaming time. I didn't catch any subtle shade at all. A couple people asked what happened to the OS crew and guys responded.

Uh, yeah, I quoted you becauese you brought up a point I agreed with.

And yes, it was in general terms, pre se, but I have seen numerous folks post and say nearly identically what I said in my example. I'm always shaking my head thinking, " Do you guys really think anyone cares what your reason is you can't play tonight..?"

I can understand if you said, "I have a family function...can't play tonight."

But some people get really detailed like I did.

I'm not gonna be back on tonight. Just sat down in front of my Samsung tv to a chicken pot pie dinner and a miller light. Wearing my Aaron Rodgers away jersey while I watch ESPNs Monday Night NFL Football. I will possibly be on tomorrow evening after work and I spend time with my fiance.

Sorta, but not really...you gotta brag about something that really makes people impressed.

Next time try something like, "I won't be on tonight because I'm studying for my MCAT's tomorrow."

Or, "Sorry fellas, I'll be on after I'm done going to the gym to work out and then meeting up with this girl at work that digs me."

It doesn't really work unless it's something that puts on a good impression. Just sitting around watching MNF is lame...everyone's doing that right now lol. ANd drinking Miller lite should never be bragged about. Terrible choice sir.
