Can crew invites be sent in game or do they have to be done on the Social Club?

Thanks for the quick response.

Will be sending out crew invites for a smaller 360 crew later tonight. No offense to the OS crew but I'm trying to play with OS'ers I recognize from the forums.

Good times on the PS3 tonight with the OS crew. I can't wait until this is all ironed out and everyone can connect without any issues. I haven't laughed so hard online in a while. Dboys and I were getting trolled by some random in a chopper in free mode. He kept killing us with his main rotor.

I executed the perfect PIT maneuver you Bcruise. The racing was lot of fun.

I am gonna pay for the lack of sleep tomorrow at work.

Edit: Raw, only you got booted.

If your having problems with your character saving, make sure you go back to story mode and quick save after your finished online. It is supposed to be like a fail-safe.

Not having a lot of luck when trying to join a free-roam with the crew, always fails for some reason.

THIS. i was gonna come here and say the same thing. i do it everytime im about to log off and i have never had my character or stuff reset.

EDIT: i misread somewhat. u dont even have to quick save. just go back to the single player by picking Michael, Franklin or Trevor. once u do that a screen will show up that says "ARE YOU SURE? YOUR ONLINE PROGRESS WILL BE SAVED AUTOMATICALLY". it then saves and takes u back to the single player. then thats when i quit game or shut off the system.

Last night when bcruise was hosting there were times where I would connect and the lobby would start to fill up with people on my friends list. I also noticed invites being sent out to those people.

I am just wondering if the host has control of who gets invited. Is there a way to invite crew only or does it just spam everyone?

I don't mind it because it worked out for me. I was able to join up and send more friend requests to OSers. It also populates games with people we know.

And Raw, it just said you disconnected.

The update finally got me through the first race!

Not sure how much I'll be on today though with baseball on all day.

host or join as host you can invite from current session/lobby, friends, or crew

yeah when u try and start a mission, it gives u the option to invite either people on your friends list or people thats in your crew.

you also have the option to invite people from your last job. meaning maybe u found a cool random person to work with in a previous mission but they split you guys up after u finished, u can work with them again if u like.

I was just trying to fill the room last night - that wasn't an OS-only gathering. It does seem to pull people from your friend and crew list first though, before spreading into the main community, which is why there were so many OS4L guys in there.

Basically, there's options for inviting individuals or an entire group (friends/crew members/players of your skill) manually, or you can have it send out automatic invites to those groups. I used the auto-invite mostly last night, except for raw because it wasn't inviting him for some reason.

Next time we do this someone else can host if they want - wouldn't hurt for several of us to figure out the hosting thing (I'm certainly not clear on exactly how the auto-invite works, myself). We could also set up a closed crew session.

Not a complaint, but an observation. Tennis is really tough with the lag. I won my first match, but there were times when my opponent was clear across the court and returned a ball. Still had fun and am having less trouble getting into sessions.

Was troubled to see that all the money I had banked last night was back on my person when I loaded up again, over 8K would've been pissed if I had lost that.
