How many "red" missions are there in the game? Reason im asking is because I just realized that they're not part of the completion checklist.

I like controlling people to be honest. Gives the game a more strategic element. Highly impressed with this game, for me, this is my game of the year. The game just gets better and better the more you play it.Comment

Thoroughly enjoying the game. I can easily blow 3 hours in one sitting and not get tired of it. I was losing hope on finding a game that could hold my attention, glad this one came along. I never had any intention of getting it, nice surprise.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
I wish more games would use the built in PS4 controller speaker. This game uses it quite well, the best use of the controller speaker to date to be perfectly honest. I love when you identify somebody, they same the name through the controller in a movie theater preview narrator type of voice. Sounds of water, leaves rustling and arrows whizzing by your head is played through the controller as well.
When I first heard about the controller speaker I thought it would be a cheesey gimmick that really wouldn't add to a game. But this game totally changed my mind about it. They use it so well that it further draws you into the world of the game. So I really wish Sony would push more developers into using this feature.
I don't know how much money they spent making this game, but they really knocked it out of the park. From the music, the controller speaker usage, the combat, the upgrade system and the living worlds. The living world aspect of this game is what I appreciate the most. The enemies are constantly moving around doing their own thing. They talk among themselves, have civil wars among themselves.
Yesterday I played this game for 12 hours straight and didn't even realize it.Comment

Re: Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
I have played this for so many hours and have not once heard a single repeated dialog line anywhere while eavesdropping on random uruks or during warchief confrontations.
That's never happened in any game for me ever.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

This game is so great. I usually play with headphones so I took them off and I am playing without them to see the addition of the controller speaker.Comment

Re: Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Just under 41 hours in at 72% completion. As frustrating and aggravating this game is at times, im still playing. Must admit that having to run around looking for a plant for health was a horrible decision my Monolith in my opinion. Majority of my frustration and aggravation is from the camera, loose controls and button configuration but the regaining health aspect is right behind. Not perfect but definitely a surprise hit and easily the best game of 2014 thus far.
Few questions -
1) What is/does "trials of war" do?
2) I purchased the sword upgrade that allows executions for 20 seconds but how do I actually pull it off? I see that blue stamina/energy bar for the ability but every time I press L3 and R3, nothing happens and yes, the sword is on fire after completing a hit streak.
Thanks.Comment

Re: Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
You don't "have" to run around looking for plants. There are other ways to regain health.
I've been wondering about that sword upgrade as well. I still haven't been able to pull it off either.PS: You guys are great.
