Re: Fallout 4
Not true, I have it working for me, and I'm on X1.
In workshop mode, if you highlight the radio tower, it says it needs 10 power.
Each small generator only produces 3 power. So you will need 4 small generators to power the 1 radio tower. I connected all 4 generators to the conduit that's right above the tower. Then I connected that conduit to the actual radio itself."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Re: Fallout 4
Now I have run into the game sync data crash as well. Bethesda makes great games in theory but suck in delivery. My first experience is now ruined. All that time I put in is now gone."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Just completed the workaround for it. Let me know if you run into this and PM me and I will help you. Ridiculous"Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Re: Fallout 4
Didn't want to clutter this thread. But it makes sense to post it. This is for XB1 by the way. There are several workarounds for this. I tried all of them and the only thing that worked was:
1. Hard restart, set xb1 to offline, then play the game as such. The game sync bug gets either stuck at 99% or won't start at all and just sits there. I have heard its related to the amount of saves so I would clean out you saves of all outside your top 5.
Here is another work around that seems to work. Didn't for me:
No need to disable instant sign in, just make sure once you've restarted the Xbox you then sign out (if you have instant sign in) before you go back online.
- Go to settings, then network and go to offline mode
- Restart console via snap menu
- Sign out of any profiles (if instant sign-in is on)
- Go to settings, then network and go back to online mode
- Open a game
- Let the game force you to sign in to your profile
Also the paladin Danse bug where you complete the "lost patrol" quest has a workaround as it is a timing bug. I basically started the quest, did other things where Danse became my companion, then went back to the aforementioned quest and it wouldn't let me finish it. You have to complete the BoS quests. Don't remember which one but eventually the game will catch up with itself and paladin will tell you "is there anything you wish to report" at that point you can finish the quest.
The Radio Freedom bug is an actual bug. I have read the hocus pocus workarounds that some people think work but I have tried every single thing and the only workaround is a previous save...of which you will still run into it eventually. The NPC gets up from his chair and won't sit back down and broadcast which makes the radio freedom dead and thus killing air strikes. PC gamers can bring up the command line and fix it but consoles is stuck. You can't assign anyone to the tower and you can create whatever combo of generators you want to make 10 power, it won't work. I made 2 medium, 1 large, a damn windmill, 4 small...doesn't matter...all the same...the power indicator is green and the NPC assignment is red."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Re: Fallout 4
Whatever you do...DO NOT cancel the sync. Simply if your stuck...do the hard restart and go from there. If you cancel...the only saves that will show up are 1 or 2 from waaaaay earlier. You will lose all your game saves."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Re: Fallout 4
I've cancelled my sync at 99% and had my most current save there. Several times (I've been bouncing between 2 consoles)

Re: Fallout 4
It's a weird thing. I got real butt hurt especially when it showed I had only one save which was like a day one save. I can't really explain this but there are plenty of folks on the Bethesda, Reddit, and other type forums who aren't as lucky as you and in getting our saves"Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Re: Fallout 4
I had syncing issues once a year ago on Dragon age...my one Xbox wouldn't sync and I thought I lost everything....on fallout 4 it just takes a while to sync and sits on 99% a long time.....I try to keep fewer saves to speed it up

Re: Fallout 4
End of Game Spoilers. Do not read if you haven't beaten main storyline!!!
Spoiler
Man what a ride this game is. From the hunt for Kellogg, sneaking through an atomic Glowing Sea region to find someone to help you get into the insitutue and all that it has to offer, to finding out the institute is ran by Shaun and your SonFather. I enjoyed the script a lot.
That said I started off with Danse and the BoS and kept going with them throughout the game. Ended up siding with them on the main storyline. I felt a little sad how things ended up with the institute, but I feel like the Brotherhood was the best option for the commonwealth. I even had Nick along side me and he didn't seem to mind I was ending the Synths. He just nodded along saying "you're trying to do good here and that's good with me".
The only thing he took issue with was something that has to do with How Danse handled things. If you plan on replaying BoS and don't want spoilers I'll double spoiler it. Otherwise if you don't care about BoS spoilers read it.
SpoilerHe didn't like that I had to kill Danse. Even though Danse basically begged me to do it and said it had to be done. I murdered him like he told me to. No regrets
I guess I'm just cold blooded and that's why I chose the Brotherhood. Super Mutants annoy me unless they're like the one that helps you near the Glowing Sea, the Institute shouldn't be kidnapping people even if it's for the better good, and the railroad just wasn't my type of organization. I enjoyed murdering them the most I think. They just felt like dirty hipsters.
Other than that this game was great. The weapons and power armor the Brotherhood gave me access to are excellent. And I still have lots of Wasteland to clear. Will keep playing this game I feel like and I already had 49 hours just in beating the main questline.

Re: Fallout 4
See I just have the one. I hear its kind of an XBOX thing so I wont pin this on bethesda. Just the minuteman glitch and the occasional game crash at the most inconvenient time. LMAO My first fallout/skyrim experience so like others have said. Save often and expect the craziness. Funny thing is...playing this buggy game has made me appreciate Madden more so theres that."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

Re: Fallout 4
Just got my first set of X-01 power armor! May slow down and develop a few settlements or just walk around discovering locations in the south. This game has taken destiny out of the rotation although the argument could be made Destiny took its self out of the rotation.

Re: Fallout 4
I have done a bit of a 180 on this game. As time has gone on and I explored more and more and got deeper....I just found myself losing interest eventually.
Maybe I expected too much. I dunno. I would get really into it but I am worried about backlash as I know the FO fans are very dedicated and passionate.
I do not think the game is bad. In my perspective, for what I was looking for, I would call it a minor disappointment. That's all I am saying, and of course it is just my opinion. The game for sure does a lot of things very very well. It is totally worth playing, don't get me wrong.
Again, please don't get me wrong. No denying it is a quality title.
Edit:
I admit that part of the problem is I probably need a game to hold my hand a little bit more than I like to admit.Last edited by The JareBear; 12-31-2015, 04:51 AM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
