    Re: Batman: Arkham Knight

Personally I love the Batmobile so far. It keeps things fresh rather than just rehashing things we've been doing for the past 3 Arkham games.

My big issue so far though is the lack of direction at times during missions. I don't want to have bright flashing lights saying "GO HERE" or anything, but at least a general idea of what you're supposed to do next would be nice at times.

There's quite a few moments during the Ace Chemicals section that I was sitting there for awhile wondering what to do next. For example, there's one section near the end where you're exiting Ace Chemicals and there's a little platform you have to raise so the Batmobile can get over. The problem is there's a tiny button on the wall that's hard to notice and I just happened to get lucky because I accidentally shot it without noticing it at first. It's little things like that that are frustrating. Otherwise, the game has been great so far and the story is already getting pretty intense (11% in).

I think the problem with the Batmobile is I am four hours in and am already tired of the mechanic....especially with having to shoot through all the drones. I am assuming most Batman fans figured out who the Arkham Knight is after listening to him for five minutes.

I did like the little twist they did with what is happening inside Batman's mind.

So many people went on the defensive when that Gamespot review came out and gave the reviewer some much crap for complaining about the Batmobile. Now it's out and the thing getting criticized the most, the Batmobile.

Eh, if they would have had it to where you only use the batmobile once or twice in the game people would be complaining that it wasn't used enough. It's really a no win situation when it comes to people complaining.

Personally love the batmobie, feels like I'm playing a new game and not just Arkham city 1.5

Agree that there needs to be more direction. I understand not waypointing everything but at least describe what you're supposed to investigate and general area to look for it.

Really have issues with the PC port. I run the game smooth with everything maxed out, I'm not referencing the performance, but the missing effects and graphics from the console version is puzzling. They outsourced the PC port to a small 12 man team and it shows. I'm typing on mobile but if you haven't looked up what's going on under the hood of the PC version google it for sure. Rain textures and AO are two biggest things that bother me most. Contemplating trying to get a steam refund and going ps4

So I love the game so far but I have to say the game may be a disappointment because even though I am already liking the story after only around 6 hours in I do kind of agree that there is to much of the driving stuff and also from the sound of things there is no challenge maps in the game. I have heard a lot of people say that and if true that sucks because challenge maps are one are of the best things about the arkham games.

While after about 6 hours into the story I am not sure who the Arkham Knight is.

Stick to story missions until you complete the Ace Chemicals section of Arkham Knight, which isn't long after the Falcone Shipping Yard trip. There's a lot of stuff to do in the game's open world, and much of it doesn't become available until after Ace Chemicals.
To say anything more would delve into spoiler territory. Just know that Ace Chemicals is an important moment in the game that not only opens up the world, but also establishes some key story elements that influence every step further you take into Arkham Knight.
Curious how much of the story is left after doing this?

I consider myself a pretty big Batman fan and after 3 hours of playing, I don't know either.

I think you know you he is if you followed certain comics/animated movies. I don't believe every casual fan will make the connection.

To be honest I try not to think about it to much, i would rather avoid figuring it out so I can get a surprise out of the reveal.
