I'm kind of doing the opposite. I am wanting to get to the end and see where this story goes. I just hope the whole city stays open to complete stuff after the story.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Getting through this game slowly....
I really hope there aren't too many of these Batmobile platforming missions...
The lack of punches to peoples faces disturbs me...hope that picks up.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I finally started up the game last night after installing, downloading the massive patch, and installing the patch. I did come across an AR challenge or two that still said the full game needed to be installed so hopefully that corrects itself tonight. I managed to play through the ACE Chemicals story mission and will likely jump into the 3 side missions tonight rather than rush through the story.
I'm hoping for more free flow combat situations, but the Fear takedown is very nice. It almost feels like a handicap in a way, but its still cool to bust in a room and take down 3 baddies without getting a scratch. The minimal amount of stealth I've utilized thus far has been fairly streamlined and fluid. The situations don't feel locked down and cut off from the rest of the map like the previous games did.
As for the Batmobile I am really enjoying it. Apart from the light handling (which I'm hoping is simply a matter of becoming used to and willing myself to not rocket down the road 24/7) its a nice addition to the gadget inventory. The remote control and combat takedown is pretty sweet. Entering and exiting the cockpit is something I hope never gets old. The first time Bats launched from the car into a glide a smile came across my face and I think I literally said, "Wow."
The game itself hasn't hooked me as hard as the two others did initially, but the story has me intrigued after the ACE Chemical development. I'm excited as hell to have the whole Bat family involved and can't wait to meet up with them.
Is it going to be raining the whole game? It really looks grainy and takes away from the beautiful aesthetic of Gotham.

The last line is something I ran into last night. I see big group of baddies around the corner and I come along expecting a fight, but they all run away. Bats just wants to play, guys!

I would still sat the mobility in the game is the biggest improvement. Grappling is easier and it feels like you can glide forever. Makes going from point A to point B less or a chore. I remember I always dreaded going across the bridge because it just took so long in the previous game but now it's much easier to just zip around.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Man this game is Beautiful & fun however the graphics are insane! Is this game truly running at 60fps? & 1080p? If so that explains the graphics. Then they must have maxed out the true power of the ps4 for this game!!!

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
The dangers of taking a vacation from work for a game like this. I have no control to pace myself. Finished up the main story yesterday and I have to say. The ending may be disappointing to quite a few. I won't spoil anything unless people want to know, but I'm not sure how I feel about how things end up.
Sidenote regarding a straying from typical Batman canon that I don't like. I've always felt like Rocksteady GETS Batman. They get the characters, the stories, the history. But it seems like Babs and Tim are a thing here from their reactions to each other throughout the game? Those two have always had like a big sister/little brother relationship and it's always been Dick and Barbara that have had the romantic relationship to the point of Dick proposing at one point. It comes off like they just knew Batgirl and Robin have always been a thing so that's what they did, nevermind WHICH Robin they went with lol. /end mini rantComment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Arkham City is my 2nd favorite game ever, so coming into this I was way, way hyped. I love Rocksteady, they made a game I've wanted to play my whole life. Having put in about 10 hours so far...
Man, I don't know how to feel. First they gave PC gamers the finger by pawning us off on a team of 12 to port this massive game in 8 weeks, besting Ubi for most disastrous launch of this generation so far. Now they've taken it off the store, and will presumably be fixing it, how much I'm not sure but I can play it at a decent framerate so I don't really want to wait to see how it goes. I don't want to trash it, but it just seems like there's been some kind of mistake.
The Harley Quinn pre-order DLC is about 10 minutes long. I didn't really care about that in the first place so it is what it is. For what it's worth, I actually really liked playing as Harley, for the same reasons I liked Catwoman in City, she's just fast. I don't have the Red Hood pack but I assume it's the same. I assume the Batgirl DLC will be more like the Harley Quinn pack from AC, but if it's like this...I honestly would just laugh, it would feel appropriate.
I ****ing love the Batmobile. I understand 100% why people wouldn't like it, but I think it's also partially that people just liked the way the games played before and they may have gone a little overboard with it this time around (although I don't really feel like that because I've been mixing in side missions so it isn't too bad). I came into this with Batman Begins (the EA movie tie in) being my favorite Batman game before the Arkham series, and that had the Batmobile so once they announced it would be in this game, I was in, just driving around Gotham and or gliding onto the street dropping into it is just too Batman, I love it.
I guess my biggest non performance issue is that they took out my favorite part of the game lol, the challenge rooms. They've taken out the mode and replaced it with a much smaller version of them, where you can only use Batman. Frankly, this is garbage. I clocked in 150+ extra (186 total) hours in Arkham City just ****ing around with different characters and costumes in the challenge rooms, getting 3 stars. Taking those out has basically killed replayability. Especially because I have to do all of the Most Wanted missions the first time around to get the "100% ending", so the city will be empty when I finish.
I love playing it, it's the best gameplay wise of the series so far, which confuses me even more why they'd add in all these playable characters and take out the challenge rooms, dual play would've been awesome in the Iceberg Lounge.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
The lack of the combat and stealth challenges really hurts the replayability for me. Even after getting 3 stars on all the maps I would go back in and try to best my high score. Plus, the combat is the best mechanic of the game so anyway to spend more time with it is a plus. So far I haven't seen many opportunities to brawl.
I'm also hoping the additional DLC for side characters and villains is more fleshed out than the pre-order DLC. I was going to pick up the season pass, but after the reception for the pre-order DLC I'll just wait until the Batgirl DLC comes out and decide then.
Edit: I hope WB doesn't add in challenge mode as a DLC. I would probably buy the ****ers anyway because I'm weak, but that would be dirty if that was the reason they aren't included.Last edited by Fresh Tendrils; 06-25-2015, 10:44 AM.

Consoles are locked at 30FPS, hell even the PC version is by default. But PC people can over ride the max FPS settings file. I put mines at 144FPS.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Far as lack of combat, if you want hand to hand combat, stay out of the batmobile. Unless it is a mission requirement, which sadly it is for majority of the missions I don't ever be in the batmobile. I just glide around and dive bomb groups of thugs.
I got my ballistc armor and melee defense armor up to a level 3 so far. Batmobile armor is up to a level 3 as well. Upgrade the batmobile weapons a few times too.Comment
