As am I. I'd hate to have been waiting that many years and then just plain out HATE the game. Lol

Story, combat, Batmobile, and even the side missions have been great for my tastes.

The 100% ending is kinda lame but honestly I always end up 100% Arkham games so that's right up my alley anyways.

I will say that some of them Riddler challenges have me stumped. I'm a bit disappointed that I'll have to swallow my pride and use... Game guides [emoji38]

And the boss battle on AO were fun... Except Bane he was literally the most unfun I have ever had playing this series. That boss battle was even less fun than the AK tank.

I was so fed up with those fights I didn't even attempt that "I am the knight" mode.

      Re: Batman: Arkham Knight

I have no problem with someone sharing their opinions, but the revisionist history to suit ones complaint tsk tsk...

After playing all 4 games... Asylum had the worst fight mechanics. Try playing AC or AO and then go back and play Asylum. The evade and counter actions move slower and are not as tight. I know because I finally completed AA on Hard Mode this March, after having now played AC and AO it was harder to appreciate AA's fight mechanics IMO.

I think Rocksteady kept the core of AC intact for Arkham Knight; which I'm not mad at. The riddler stuff was no different than AC, take hostages in AC and replace with Catwoman in AK.

At least this go round, after 100% of the riddler stuff we get a new ending/true ending or whatever (haven't gotten there yet so don't know what it truly is).

In AC after finding all 282 riddler trophies and then all the riddles, all we got was a cutscene of Riddler being arrested. NOW we get a new ending and people are complaining about that??

If you choose not to complete the Riddler missions, then your story ends with the main mission. If you choose to complete the Riddler story, then you get rewarded for that. I don't see the issue...because in AC you got nothing but an achievement.

AC had gadgets locked in story progression too. You didn't get the freeze grenade until much later and there were places that you needed to use it to obtain a trophy. There were probably more instances of this (REC gun), but this one comes to mind immediately.

I don't see much different about side missions in this game relative to AC. I beat the serial killer side mission and noticed it unlocked some specific audio files/content. That's cool. I haven't checked it out in showcase or gotham stories menus, so I can't say if its "simple and uninspired". As for Arkham City...I got nothing story related for stopping Zasz in AC, nothing for finding out who was "The Watcher" in AC, nothing for beating the mad hatter in AC...so there's not much different. Did folks complain about that in AC???

Arkham Knight does repeat itself with having to take out what's left of the insurgency and do it on every island, but I feel that folks would've complained more if you beat Scarecrow and then everything returned to normal. Folks would've THEN wanted to take out all of the remaining forces. Likewise, if the game didn't hold ones hand on the scanning elements, then people would complain because its too hard, and EFF this game....

Loved every second of the game. It barely edges out Bloodborne as my game of the year. Can't wait for DLC and to tackle all the side missions.

Same boat. I thought The Witcher 3 would my GOTY but something about this game just sucks me in. Even new batsuits get me excited to play more.

With that said, whoever brought up the Two-Face side story is dead on. Huge let down with how it plays out.

I'm trying not to go on another rant about how much I hate the batmobile and tank missions. Finally made it past the one hard part with 7 of them and now at the very ending. I know what to do just can't do it

              Re: Batman: Arkham Knight

Is this really an RPG though?? I see it as action adventure. In a RPG you have more control over story elements, and your decisions have a lasting affect. This game is linear, until its not when you can choose your own side mission. THE story you get to tell is in what sequence of events you will complete a side mission. That's NOT an RPG.

If upgrades make this an RPG, than is Destiny a RPG???

Really enjoyed this game but Witcher 3 still gets my nod as GOTY. I thought the story was great. I got used to the batmobile even though it was a pain in the *** at times.

                  Batman: Arkham Knight

Just finished the story on hard difficulty last night... New story plus opened up so here we go again! Look out folks...I'm coming a second time to whoop your a**

This game has stolen my soul since I've had it. I've enjoyed every minute of it. 12% through on New Story plus and it is just as good the second time around.

Like others posted, I'm enjoying the game the more I play it. Even the Batmobile, though it remains the least enjoyable portion of the game for me. I would have been just as happy without it.

I LOVE the fights where you team up with other heroes. They choreography / gameplay is outstanding.

As a heads up, so people don't kill themselves, the bridges don't come down until you're roughly 54 - 57 (forget exact percentage) percent through the main game story. So don't kill yourself trying to figure that out.

I haven't gone back to check, but it seems to me that the original Batman Arkham games zoomed in with the cameras quite a bit more on certain activities, allowing us to appreciate the detail of the characters / areas. I still happens in AK, but it doesn't feel like it's zooming in as much to me and thus we lose some of the awe felt in the first games. Am I remembering wrong?

                          lol...the Batwing.

As soon as I played a minute with the batmobile, my first response was..."Now I need to man the batwing". WB games will keep Batman games going for sure. I think they'll take over where Rocksteady left off. Arkham Origins was not a bad first effort at all by WB games.

I actually really liked the batmobile, I thought it was fun.

I'm probably in the minority here but I'm glad this game isn't really an RPG. I bought the Witcher 3 and while I thought it was amazing and extremely well done, I ended up selling it without beating it because it is simply too much for me to do. The sheer amount of looting and crafting is insane.

I may get labeled as a casual but for me this game was a blast and had me yelling and jumping out of my chair at certain moments...for me this is an incredible game.

I love the Witcher but I am glad this game stayed true to its roots. Overall, this is one of the best series of games I have ever played.
