I think there's a China DLC for this? Or is it included in the game itself?

      Re: Assasins Creed Unity

I love the AC series and have played all of the titles several times. They just hit a switch for me. They are my favorite titles and Unity is no exception. I have been playing it non stop and will continue t do so.

I'm sure it has its issues and glitches but they don't bother me in the least. I always have hours and hours of fun and tons of replay value and for me that is enough for my $60 without hesitation. I see no future where I will not day one purchase an AC game until the day that they just are not fun for me anymore.

Framerate issue seems to be a random occurrence because the past session I just played was fine while last night was unplayable. Wonder if joining a party mid game had something to do with it.

So, is it getting hammered in the reviews because of technical issues? Or because of the game itself?

Because I have seen virtually ZERO technical issues. In about 6 hours of play time, I have seen one instance of the frame rate dropping. Lasted about 3 seconds, then went back to normal. The game runs beautifully on my XB1.

Just starting and the controls do feel a little clunky while fighting like people say, but it's also a change and it's hard to accept change.

                1st mission, sorry what?

I do like the X to climb up and O to climb down while running, adds more control to running.

The Kotaku review I read talked more about gameplay and story than anything else.

Yeah the story and gameplay itself have also been drawing negative reactions.

Purely subjective. Sorry that reviewer wasn't drawn into the story, but this game is top class so far. Haven't had technical issues....yet.

Just played a little yesterday and so far i like it (PS4 edition). i did encounter some fps issues that kinda became a little distracted, but nothing over the top. I'm no game developers but i do hope Ubisoft can make a patch that can at least improve this issue.

I would recommend this game if you are a die hard AC fan (like myself) but i also would understand if you would like to wait it out until some of the issues get attended.

That surprises me. Unless the story takes some really weird turns that I haven't gotten to yet, I don't see what's bad about it. I feel like if you enjoyed past iterations of the game's storytelling, you won't have any issues with this game's plot. (Granted, I'm only on Sequence 3, so I'm pretty early on in the story).

                            But, that's just my $.02
