You need a key, something with stone. You get it from a random NPC, most from the one at Hemwich Charnel Lane at the steps to the elevator. If she still sounds like a monster after beating the witch you have to knock on all the windows elsewhere. Sadly I can't tell you how it's called, because I only found it at german walktroughs.

Got the stone finally. Thought I had to ho around the woods and look for another witch like her but you can get it from anywhere for some reason.

Found my way into the Forbidden Woods through so I'm good.

Going for a Balanced Build for my first playthough. So it going to be 30 strength and 30 skill.

Would love for someone to help with Ebrietas. I just can't beat her.

This optional boss took me several tries. Her hit boxes and AI are random. I've beaten all the bosses outside of the final one and chalice dungeons and she gave me by far the most trouble. What worked for me was dodging forward into her and her attacks. This allowed me to more often end up behind her. I even ended up glitching in her body a couple times, which I then popped bolt paper and went ham.

I had some trouble dodging her spell that hits 3 time, the one time I did was when I finally killed her.

I ran up and stayed to her right and just kept swinging. I found a spot that is just out of reach of her swinging arm and her left arm actually pushes you back keeping you in position so you don't have to reposition yourself. The only problem with this position is you don't do nearly as much damage as hitting her in the face. Also, when she falls over you can't run up to her face as you are trapped between her arm and body. It's a safe spot, but makes the fight longer. You will still take damage, but you can heal up easily.

Heh, I'm using that weapon. I have it at +6 and it rocks. I thought the second hunter there was way more of a pain.

The more I play this game, the more I get excited for the future Souls game. I can't stop playing it, but I don't want to rush it either. I only killed 6 boss and completed one layer of a chalice dungeon but the thrill this game brings is to damn good.

Starting to realize that Souls games are about Patience and Skill. Guess I'm halfway through the game and I only died about 30-50 times.

Also Ludwig Holy Blade is amazing for balance builds. It scales well with Strength and Skill. Thanks to whoever recommended it.

Should I go to the hidden place the kidnappers take you now since I just killed the shadows boss or wait till I kill Rom? I'm level 62 with +7 Ludwig Holy Blade.

This Rom fight is difficult, I'm able to get his health low, just can't finish him off.

Can someone help me out with this fight later.

Was able to beat her right after I posted that. I got lucky and she never used her charge attack which is pretty much impossible to dodge.

After beating the game she was definitely the hardest boss but I haven't played level 4 and 5 Chalice Dungeon bosses yet though.

I beat Vicar Amelia, and i feel like i'm picking up steam on this game(i'm sure it'll ground me soon tho lol), she was tough, but it didn't take me as many tries to beat her as blood starved, also beat the first chalice dungeon, really wasn't too hard.

Now i'm wandering around the forbidden forest, thank god i opened up a shortcut gate back to the lantern, this area is huge. Also, i'm not afraid of snakes, but these snake cluster things are kinda unsettling, they just look nasty, especially the giant ones.

Downed the Blood Starved on the fourth try. Man, she's easy as hell until she goes all super saiyan poison form at the end. I had to sit back with the whip and just chip her health down. Also had some well timed parries followed up by a visceral which takes a large chunk of her life.

Spent the day locked in a duel with the hunter in the Grand Cathedral. Finally said eff it and took the cheap way out.

Made enough progress and collected enough echoes to buy Ludwigs Holy Blade. Leveled it to +3 and man does it pack a wallop. Nice thing is the one handed sword part of it uses skill, and the greatsword part uses strength, so my balanced skill/strength build works perfectly.

I completely ignored charge attack for the first week and the last 2 days it is almost all that I use.
