Re: Bloodborne
Finally beat the game. Pretty proud of myself for sticking with and beating a FROM game. Definitely the most challenging game I've ever completed. Had a blast from beginning to end.
ENDING SPOILERS (Final boss):
SpoilerMergo was relatively easy. I found that when she went dark and made the duplicate of herself that you could just run around the outside of the arena. When she was in regular form, she was easy as hell.
I chose to refuse Gehrman, and man, he was like Papa G's first form on steroids. That boy can MOVE. Took me almost dying to realize I could just dodge into him as he attacked and then get off three or four hits before backing off. Wound up taking him down first try.
Not overly happy that you immediately get thrown into NG+, but oh well. I'll probably give DS2: SOTFS some time before really diving back into this for a second playthrough.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
^Nice, i just beat him too. I actually found him surprisingly easy compared to some of the other bosses, he's open to get staggered by the blunderbuss alot. Also, did you know there's more?SpoilerIf you get the three 1/3 umbilical cord items and use them right before you fight him, you get to fight the true final boss, moon presence after you beat him. I haven't beaten it yet,but it's pretty tough. Also, Gerhmans weapon is awesome.Comment

Bloodborne
Haven't played all week and faced Father G tonight and I beat the crap out of him. Couple of times he had me down but I prevailed. My heart is racing a 100mph right now. Lol
I've heard others say that the game really opens up now. Is that the case?

Re: Bloodborne
Yup. And start preparing yourself for maximizing resistances on your gear, such as poison. It won't make a HUGE difference, but it can be the difference between life and death.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
Is anyone between 37-47 that'd be willing to help with either Darkbeast Paarl or Rom. Stuck.
I got someone after 15 minutes on paarl but they died fast. Can't get anyone on Rom.
EDiT: Beat Paarl. Back to Rom. This MF magic attack one shots me. I don't know if I've ever been this annoyed with a boss. Maybe Flamelurker.Last edited by CC; 04-11-2015, 02:36 PM.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
After clearing out the first batch of minion spiders, I decided to go with the Flamesprayer/Bone Marrow Ash combo.

Re: Bloodborne
Yeah, I could try that. My problem is that if I get hit by 2 or more of his meteor things I am dead. His AoE, and I am dead. Usually if I get hit by one I will get hit by another. Makes the boss exyremely tedious because I can roll around for 10 minutes avoiding it, then he starts spamming it when his health is at 25%.
I should probably level up my vitality some more. But I have been trying to kill off all his minions each time he relocates, that might be my problem.
EDIT: Beat finally. After stage 1, I just went balls out and ignored the spiders and that seemed to work better. I didn't try the method you used though, so that might have worked better. I may try that next time.Last edited by CC; 04-11-2015, 07:13 PM.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
What is up with that One Reborn boss? What a joke. Took me forever to get to him, died countless times, and the boss is stupidly easy. The area was like a 8 or 9 for difficulty and the boss was a 2.
Moving on, I have what looks like four ways to go. Found someplace called Cainhurst Castle that seemed really cool but got wrecked both when I found it and again now. Tried a place called Nightmare of Mensis and got wrecked. Didn't go too far at Upper Cathedral Ward so I'll try there next tomorrow. Then the other nightmare place that seemed boring.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
Picked the game up earlier this week. After playingsome Dark Souls recently what I much prefer in Bloodborne is the fluidity of movement. Faster controls just feel better. Really liking the game world and the idea of being out on the night of the hunt.We are the music makers...Comment

Re: Bloodborne
Started a new game plus, damn they weren't kidding about this being harder. I'm around level 88 and i thought that being able to carry all your equipment and echoes over would mean i could kinda breeze through the game. Shoulda known they would make it harder considering that.Comment

I've taken a short break to jump into DS2 on PS4, as I haven't enjoyed the chalice dungeons nearly as much as I'd hoped. Do they get better as you go? I'm only through like 3 or 4 layers of the first Pthumeranu (sp?) dungeon, but it has been fairly bland so far compared to the incredible locations in the main game.Comment
