I pretty much hit the wall at the 3rd tombstone after beating ROM.
I've been trying to not google things but that's about to end

Haven't played this in a while but I completed one Dungeon. Ima do some more once I get through this Nightmare Part. Didn't expect them to be great for getting Gemstones.

In the Nightmare Frontier and the hardest enemies I have to deal with are those than Rock throwing giants. I tried going up to them and fighting them 1v1, they still hit like a train. Those rocks they throw are annoying. I just keep on dying from them.

Took a break today after playing about 10 hours the last 3-4 days. Leveled up to 62 and still having trouble on Ebrietas and on Nightmare of Mensis.

I can't even summon on Ebrietas, there is still nobody. Let it sit there waiting two hours while I was writing a paper and not a single person was summoned. I was able to help two others beat her, but can't do it on my game.

hahaha I love when people try ridiculous challenges like this. This guy beat bloodborne and dark souls using the guitar controller.

I need to get back to playing. Played a bit last weekend after a break and felt completely lost as to where to go. Can only imagine how clueless I'm gonna be after a week off.

I want to make a Arcane Hunter but the magic in this game is way different from Dark Souls.

Beat Father G on NG+. Took a few tries but I actually tried fighting him up the stairs for the first time and it was way easier. I beat him down by the grave stones in my first play through but he has way less room to move around up the stairs. As long as you can dodge through his werewolf attacks it's easy.

Slowly working my way through NG+ still. Just took down the Blood Starved Beast 1st try with help from Alfred. Now it's time for Vicar. Ugh.

                    Re: Bloodborne

Anyone still playing? I'm assuming this thread became a ghost town due to The Show.

I'm still having a blast playing through NG+. It's amazing how well this game actually TEACHES you to play. I wasn't initially a fan of NG+ just buffing enemy health, but in reality, I have died far fewer times in NG+ than I did in my first playthrough. I've actually killed every boss first try minus Father G by myself. Only exception is the BSB. I went to summon Alfred before the fight, and it summoned another player at the same time. We wasted her first try.

I'm more than surprised I managed to kill Vicar first try alone, as it took me and two buddies to kill her on the first playthrough. Bombed through Hemwick, the Forbidden Woods, and just killed the hunter before Rom in Byrgenwerth without taking any damage, despite dying to him probably five or six times my first time through.

So far, this is EASILY my favorite game of this generation. Nothing comes close to the gameplay and lore presented in this game. I truly feel as though this is From Software's finest game. I played through most of Dark Souls 1 and 2, but neither game grabbed me like this one. The combat is fine tuned to perfection IMO, and while build variation is lacking in comparison to DS, I feel that it makes the game more focused. I can see the appeal of the DS series over this to more hardcore roleplayers, but I much prefer the atmosphere and style of BB over DS, and feel it tells a far better story.

Still playing the crap out of this game - plan to jump into NG+ after I tackle everything in my first run. Been doing dungeons.

EDIT: agreed on the above - my favorite this gen as well (so far)

I'd recommend not finishing the game right away. It throws you right into NG+ without warning, and honestly, you'll want to level a bit and perhaps farm for some blood chunks before advancing. That's my only negative so far is that despite needing just chunks and twin blood shards, NG+ gives the same drops from the same enemies at each stage. You'll have a wealth of blood stone shards with nothing to spend them on.

Finished the game this weekend with the good/secret ending. Easily my favorite game on the current gen of consoles. I had never played a souls game but right after finishing bloodborne and ran out and got Dark Souls 2

I did the same. Made it to No Man's Wharf in DS2, then went right back to Bloodborne. I'll eventually get back to it, but I'm still having way too much fun with BB to justify putting it down.

I am actually going back and starting over in the original Dark Souls on PS3. I got quite far in the game but quit out of frustration. After playing Bloodborne (near completion) it has stoked my love for these games big-time. I beat Demon's Souls back in the day and I picked up Dark Souls 2 for PS4. Going from DS to BB is strange because you get used to having a shield.

Great, great games. Should wrap up BB soon, though I screwed up the good ending. Will save that for NG+.
