Bloodborne
So hyped right now, better call Saul is making the final stretch easier
Also not sure if you guys were just lingering about like I was, but I appreciate that no one was posting any leaked spoiler content. I know nothing about this game other than what was given in ps blogs and trailers.

Re: Bloodborne
Love the pacing of the combat, can't imagine how intense it is when swarmed by enemies with more intricate attack patterns. The firearm is very helpful as it allows you to stun them if you shoot them as they swing which you can then follow up with a strong attack.
I've died a couple times because I wanted to transform my axe mid attack, but I pressed triangle and healed up instead. It might take some time to adjust after putting in hundreds of hours in the past games.
Can't wait to get back into it, had to get off as I should be studying for exams. Huge mistake even starting up the game, can't even stop thinking about it.

Re: Bloodborne
Been watching streams of this, it's so Souls it hurts.
And hurts.
And hurts some more.
...You get the idea. HARD.
Those load times between deaths are painful though, almost like it's another way to penalize you for dying (did I mention you'll die a lot?)

Re: Bloodborne
So I was a guy who never played demon souls, played dark souls for about 10 hojrs before quitting, and never played DS2.
So far, albeit it's only been an hour, I'm enjoying this quite a bit. It's got enough "freshness" on top of the souls formula for me, and I'm sure fans of the series are going to love it."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Bloodborne
No Spoilers here:
I only played about 20 minutes this morning before work. Created a random character without paying too much attention to anything because I just wanted to get a feel for the character movement, weapons combos, and just look at the graphics. I'll spend a lot more time after work this afternoon to build my first main character and exploring every detail in the first parts of the game.
This game already feels and looks incredible, but that's coming from a huge Souls fan. Bought Dark Souls blindly in early 2012 without knowing what it was, and it quickly became my favorite game series of all time.
The ONLY complaint I have in the first few minutes of action is the fact that they remapped the item usage button to triangle (which used to be weapon switch). Also, I'll need some time to get used to the HUD in this game compared to the Souls games.
Bottom line: I'm just so glad that after 500+ days after getting my PS4, it's finally getting some usage.Comment

Bloodborne
I am getting this today but am a bit worried. I know it will be a brilliant game for sure, no doubt, but one of the things I loved about the Demon Souls/Dark Souls games (and in Lords Of The Fallen) was the deliberate pace. I liked carefully inching along and being armored like a tank. Bloodborne seems much faster paced, more action oriented and more reliant on finger skills than brains.
Nothing at all wrong with that and maybe I will dig the fresh approach. But it seems like this game is gonna be a lot more hacking and diving around to avoid being hit than the brutal hand-to-hand combat of the Souls games. We'll see. Still gonna be a great addition to my library.

Re: Bloodborne
well, in this game if you are hit, and attack back immediately each blow refills your health some. Wait to long and its permanently lost.
Also, I love this game. Faster combat that the other Souls games, but i've made agile toons in the Souls games so it feels similar. Still, had to get used to attacking quickly to keep health up.HELLO BROOKYLN.
