I rented this game Sunday and went and bought it today since it's my BDay. I was on the 4th chapter playing on the Sergeant difficulty. Sure, I got killed enough but I heard that moving it up to the Sergeant Major difficulty gave it a more warlike intensity so I started over. I was just in the 2nd chapter and it took me about 45 minutes to figure out which way to flank that damn gunner. This game is great. I'm leaving my purchased copy in the shrink-wrap though, incase I end the game before the rental is due back on the 13th.

Re: FSW Impressions...
I got the game on the advice of the board and I enjoy it...but some things bug me.
For one when they have the shield and half their body is above whatever they are hiding behind...I could shoot all day and not him them. He's 20 feet away hiding behind a 3 foot wall standing up, drop him.
Another is when they fall back...it seems to be a set plan. No matter how much I shoot they are going to live and going to fall back...b/c it's not their turn to die yet. I have to chase them from obsticle to obsticle until they are flanked (the only way to kill most of the baddies) then shoot them as they stand there oblivious to a team of heavily armed men 10 feet away.
I also wish it was more free flowing, I hardly even look at my GPS b/c there seems to be at most 2 ways of continuing on your course. Rubble, trucks, etc... constantly block your course. Let me venture around...climb stairs...etc...
The last was today when I was playing and I snuck one team around back for the flanking move. I'm zooming in for a good look and a solider teleports right into my view and runs behind a crate and starts shooting my team. I've noticed that once you get past certain trip spots soldiers appear.
Overall though it's a great start for a game series. I am on Mission 5 on Master Sarge and have enjoyed most of the game. Hopefully next time there will be such things as stacking orders, house to house fighting, different missions (as opposed to always killing), and having a team of soliders where they can actually die and you don't fail the mission. It is war...people do die...the mission still goes on. Also a game like this in the WW2 or the Vietnam setting would be very interesting.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

Same missions, co-op. One player controls Alpha, the other Bravo.
Bit of a bummer that the missions are the exact same as single-player, but it's still mega fun to plan strategy with a buddy, especially on Master Sergeant difficulty or higher.
Take care,

If you play your solo play on the hardest level and then play online with the hardest level, couldnt you bascially do the same thing you did in solo play to defeat it in online play as well?Comment
