I don't exactly know. The production value is amazing, it feels like a mix of Black Hawk Down and 24. Best sounds I think I have ever heard in a game, even IGN mentioned that. It's more arcadish, I think I just found it a fun, fast FPS that I could pop in and kill a bunch of people and not think. It's not nearly as bad as I feared when comparing it to SOF (which was one of the biggest let downs ever, especially online with the shotgun of doom, one shot wipes out 15 guys LOL). With the VIP and other modes, it could be a cool game. I totally stand corrected from earlier.

I didn't particularly enjoy the Xbox demo because of some technical issues, but I thought the game plot and mechanics were very good. I'm happy to hear that it seems more polished now. It seems a lot of work went into creating this game. It is more of a shooter than a startegy shooter like the Clancy games.

It is described as an "interactive summer blockbuster" in the Making of features I saw. Meant to be fast paced, loads of sounds crashing around you, great musical score, lots of emotion, etc. I do think it does a wonderful job in the sound department, some of the best I've heard.

The main issues in the demo for me were framerate chugging, some really spotty AI by both my guys and the opposition, and some collision detection problems. I'm also not too high on the graphics. They don't seem to be Xbox quality, although they are certainly passable.

I'll unpin this after today, but feel free to leave impressions, questions, thoughts, etc. in here afterwards.

The graphics do look good. I will double check tonight again in 480p (going to pick it up on the way home). The AI is dumb, but the guy at EB had it on the easiest setting, not sure how much it changes as you increase the difficulty. I must say, I put too much word into IGN, and my buddy goes, "They gave Raw a 9.1!!!", and then I went back and re-read the TeamXbox review, from the hour I played, they seem to be pretty much dead on. I'll need more playtime and to try out the online play (which I'm excited for), but it seems like this could be a "summer blockbuster" like John said. It's an Arnold movie or whatever, has a plot, decent at that, but it's a big time blockbuster to blow things up, make lots of cool sounds and screams, but stay at PG-13 (no blood).

How is the framerate in ther final build? This is my biggest concern when it comes to FPS. I can deal a little dumb AI, average graphics, but if a FPS runs choppy it is ruined

From just playing it for an hour, I didn't notice any frame rate issues, none that I saw in the demo at least. The game opens with the same board the demo has, and either it's been too long since I played the demo or something, but it feels totally different.

Ok, I lied, I ran up to EB and picked it up, back at work now. I took a "break" to read the instruction book, the online modes sound good, the VIP mode sounds very cool. Everyone has their weapons, sniper, heavy assault whatever, but the one team will have the VIP, and he's a random person, he only has a pistol. If the one team can get him out of the board and keep him alive or kill all the terrorists, they win. If the Terrorists kill the VIP, they win. Could be interesting. Has the standard CTF and deathmatches as well. The game is very arcade, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air with it's production qualitites and interesting storyline. The box art is still weird, seeing a Nuke mushroom cloud going off in Los Angeles is errie.
