Ok, I lied, I ran up to EB and picked it up, back at work now. I took a "break" to read the instruction book, the online modes sound good, the VIP mode sounds very cool. Everyone has their weapons, sniper, heavy assault whatever, but the one team will have the VIP, and he's a random person, he only has a pistol. If the one team can get him out of the board and keep him alive or kill all the terrorists, they win. If the Terrorists kill the VIP, they win. Could be interesting. Has the standard CTF and deathmatches as well. The game is very arcade, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air with it's production qualitites and interesting storyline. The box art is still weird, seeing a Nuke mushroom cloud going off in Los Angeles is errie.

Re: Shadow Ops : Red Mercury One Stop Info Thread ! (56k?)

I read that the biggest complaints so far are no traces of gunfire (bullet holes, bullet trails, etc.) and that the XBL maps take up to a minute and a half to load up."If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Say it was a young guy living."

The bullet holes don't bother me, that's just graphics. I saw trails in single player, not sure why they aren't there for multiplayer. Minute and a half eh? They take about 40 seconds in single player, which is about what Rainbow Six takes when you do a map change online as well. Either way, I can deal with it if that's the biggest complaints.Comment

Yeah, so far people either love it or hate it. Doesn't seem to be much in between."If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Say it was a young guy living."

Anyone know if this game has split-screen multiplayer (versus or co-op)? Other than that, sounds pretty good.Comment

Both, and the Co-Op is different from the single player, we played CO-OP at EB, it was cool. Has split screen and system link. Supports up to 12 people online.Comment
