Sorry about my roller coaster ride (wanted it, hated it, loved it, hated it), but I feel you should avoid this game. As good as the single player is, the online and multiplayer modes are just so bad. And this isn't like Riddick where it's single player only and still good. Riddick was an amazing game, this game is a fun game. That's about it. But my biggest gripe happened last night for single player, and this became the game killer for me. Playing through a rather long level (they are all very long though), I was almost to the end, when the AI starts to spawn over and over again behind a box. I killed like 5 guys and began on my way, well another one must have spawned after I walked by and shot me...making me re-do everything in the level all over again. With no save points in level, and long levels, that's a major flaw to the single player game. Doing one section over and over again is one thing, having to do one entire level over and over again is another.

Adding that to the multiplayer makes this game a bargin game at best. Hopefully they'll patch the online part as many of the complaints others I have, I do not have. I don't mind not seeing bullet holes in the walls, or bullet traces. I also don't mind that there's no lobby, I've played PC games for years with no lobby. What I do mind is pumping 10 shots from a sniper rifle directly into someone's head and having them not even lose a life point. We tested that out last night a few times, it seems rather random on how you die, not based on the shooter at all. I went back and played some Rainbow Six last night and felt so much better, with a much more polished game.

So, after a few days, and many ups and downs, I give this a 5/10. It's a great rental for the single player mode, the story is outstanding and it feels like a blockbuster movie, but the problem with saves mentioned above and the online travisty, I can't recommend this title. Sorry if I lead any of you the wrong way earlier....but this game was looking fantastic day one.
