Re: Overwatch
Nobody can replace rein but orisa can definitely be an alternate option in some cases.
Rein has a regenerating shield with 2000 health while orisa has has a deployable 900 health shield that has a 8-10 second cooldown (can't remember exactly) right after it is set.
Also orisa can do a solid amount of damage while the shield is up, something rein can't do.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

I think everyone should be forced to learn Rein lol. I'm basically learning on the fly because no one in lower ranks wants to play him.

So as a more casual player could someone explain what the "tank meta" is that everyone is talking about?

Re: Overwatch
Ha you're probably right. I've tried Reinhardt a number of times in QP. I just can't get the hang of him.Comment

Re: Overwatch
I am a terrible Reinhardt player.
Meanwhile, I think the percentage of times I get pinned by Rein's charge is at least 80%. It's phenomenal...it's like my character thinks he just wants a hug.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: Overwatch
I think one of my biggest "gosh darn it " moments with this game is when I turn a corner and walk right into a blind Rein charge. I just made that guys day"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Overwatch
Sometimes...the salt in this game from other people can be insufferable. It's like they know how to win the game even though they're a level below you and seemingly stay in the spawn screen.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: Overwatch
Yeah i think she received a buff shortly after release. Since then she has had a few nerfs. The latest nerf will make pharah even more difficult to deal withComment

What does Ana have to do with Pharah?Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: Overwatch
Ana was one of the better counters to pharah due to her no damage drop-off hit scan. Mccree and soldier have large damage falloff at range which made her hard to deal with, especially with a pocket mercy.
Previously it took ana 3 snipes to kill pharah, now she will need a 4th which is quite huge.Comment

Re: Overwatch
They are reverting the grenade nerf and leaving everything else. This is enough to keep her a very strong pick, I still don't think they are going about this the right way though. They have better data than me, but I feel like the way they are doing it goes against what makes her fun while leaving what is imo the most OP aspect of her kit.
This is what I think needs to happen.
-Roll back half of the damage nerf so that her damage per shot is 70.
-Keep Grenade as 100 hp on Self, but then just 50hp on allies.
-Cut the anti-heal of grenade to ~70% instead of 100%.
The damage roll back allows Tracer to remain a good counter option since Ana needs an additional hit to kill her, and it allows her to still defend herself against 200hp heroes. Plus, it keeps her original design as a support sniper in play since she can effectively deal with long range enemies.
The healing effect on the grenade allows her to maintain some kind of sustain while not creating massive burst healing on teammates every 10 seconds.
The anti-heal nerf is probably the most needed in her kit. A medium CD ability that is pretty easy to hit can completely shut down a Zen ult, and that probably shouldn't be the case. Cutting it down to 70% from 100% still keeps it as a strong support utility without completely shutting down all healing for its duration.
edit - It's interesting. There was a dev post tonight about how they were reverting some of the Ana nerfs because they didn't want to swing a hero's balance so wildly in a single patch. What's ironic is the last 2 hero changes (pre-follow up nerf) have been huge for the heroes involved (Bastion buff and Ana nerf).Comment

I don't really play her very much, what makes Ana so hard to balance? Was she really OP before? Is her damage output plus burst healing just too strong as a combo?"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
