This probably has less to do with Blizzard being PC first and more of an understanding of the differences a KB+M provide in controlling the game versus a controller and balancing for that.

Also the fact that patching a game on PC is free and can be done incrementally, where as patching a game on console costs money (unless both companies have changed it. I'm pretty sure MS did, but not 100% sure on that). Like, upwards of $40,000 it used to cost. Also, they can push their updates to PC themselves. They don't have to go through the console patch certification procedures.

That and the mouse/kb issues make this complete sense. It's a different game on console than it is on PC (and is why you never see m/kb support in competitive console shooters. It wouldn't be fair.)

reddit.com/r/Overwatch has gained a massive following since the beta released - it almost has more subscribers than Hearthstone (one of Blizzard's other games), which has been out for years and is incredibly popular in its own right

          Re: Overwatch

Hit level 60 the other night. Still playing the crap out of this game a few things I can't stand.

          1. Junkrat is the absolute chessiest character in the game and I routinely seek him out to kill him.

          2. They should eliminate all plays of the game from Torbjorn, Bastion, and Junkrat. They are the same damn thing every time.

          3. They need to eliminate the ability to put a turret on the vehicle. Unless you're with a decent team on defense you're finished.

Played a funny game last night where we were 6 reapers. We totally dominated but all of us kept spamming "Hello" the whole game. I was laughing so hard. "Hi, Heyyyy"

Haven't seen a ton of OS'ers lately on PS4, so been playing mostly with randoms. If you guys play and haven't added me please add me and shoot me an invite.

Whoa! 60? You guys are flying. How many hours have you all out in? Site says about 16 for me. Could have sworn it's been more. I am only a 25.

I keep tinkering with the sensitivity. Right now 50 horizontal and 15 vertical. I feel like I missed more shots when I bad vertical at 25

I was thinking the same thing ..... Do you play all day? Serious question

And you are not kidding about the play of the game. It's always some Bastion hiding in a corner, Junkrats tire, or McCree high noon

Seems if it's not some double kill or more you won't ever get play of the game. Meaning most characters won't even get play of the game so you see the same ones over and over

Saw that Overwatch sold 7MM copies last week.

Blizzard had a great launch, is banning all the cheaters, and is putting good support behind their game. I hope their DLC isn't too far out and is a nice steady stream of every 3 months or so.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The most infuriating thing to me, right now, is when people pick Hanzo/Widow on offense and then refuse to change when we're having trouble pushing the payload/capturing the objective. They stand at the back and do nothing. I was playing attack on Gibraltar earlier, and we had two Hanzos who refused to switch. They combined to kill one person with their ultimates. I wanted to punch something.

It is certainly the first game in some time where I'm actively seeking out groups to play with because it really is so much better coordinating.

I mean it's every person's right to play the game how they want, but yeah, it can be frustrating to see people treating it like K/D matters etc. rather than just getting the W.

Amazon.com was sold out of Overwatch for a moment as well.

                              Re: Overwatch

Wanted to toss this scenario out there because I saw it in one of my random games. Assuming good team coordination (which already means this game was doomed) how would you handle this situation?

Map: Volskaya. Reinhardt, Bastion, and and Torbjorn (with turret) are all camped on top of the bunker near objective A - I'm pretty sure they got boosted there by a Mei ice wall. Reinhardt is protecting both of the other two. They end up barely getting a scratch, mowing down our whole team at the chokepoint and I don't think my team even managed to set foot on the objective area one time.

The normal counter to two of the three - Tracer - gets stuffed hard by two things. One - height advantage, Two - Torbjorn's turret. A blink from the other platforms might get you close enough to drop a pulse bomb on the bunker. But that's all you're getting before being shot dead, so better hope you got it close enough.

My thoughts (and unfortunately it didn't occur to me until way too late) would be to try to push Rein off of there by any means necessary. D.Va' s Boost + Defense Matrix could ram him, or Pharah's knockback beam. I'm not sure if the latter goes through shields though - I know D.va's boost does.

An area nuke would at least force Mei to reset this too, and D.Va would once again get the nod with her self-destruct.

Any of this would have to be coordinated with the team actually pushing once one of these things happened, and that's why we never stood a chance in this game.
