Yeah, they've already said it's one by one. Apparently the stores don't have the functionality to just do it all at once? Not sure of reason, but we definitely have to do individual items.

I'm just going to queue up a few to download on my phone each day or so. I kind of want to do the on-disc songs first anyway since I haven't played those before.

Is there any kind of importing that needs to be done to see what you own or should I see the option to download instead of buy some of these packs before even having rb4?

Figures, waited a week and now best buy is sold out of RB4 band kits for Xbox One. Was going to go GCU and save 20% on the band kit and cancel my Amazon preorder.

I am just going to get the game and the adapter for X1 I guess. No one has shown any real compelling reason to buy any new Rock Band Guitars. And as far as I know they will not work with any other game.

My band kit came - auto calibration didn't do well for me. It's kind of in the ballpark, but no practice mode (currently) is killing me here. I would normally slow things down and get a feel for the hitbox and work from there. Now I'm just playing "Centuries" over and over on Easy to help figure that out.

No real impressions until I get this sorted out, obviously.

They're all in the store already. $1.99/ song.

Outside of the game I have no idea how to tell what I already own, if anything that's currently available.

Okay, got calibration close enough to play. I don't have the easiest TV to work with on calibration, but I have the audio split out so that helps. Will work on it more tomorrow, but quick thoughts are:

New guitar is awesome, but as I've said a million times here I'm coming from a RB1 Strat so I don't know how much is actually upgraded from the more recent guitars. I don't think the drums are that much quieter than RB2 ones that I have, but I don't think those are too bad anyway.

I really, really like freestyle guitar solos. This will vary depending what type of player you are. Focused more on score? Probably not your favorite feature. I've seen enough videos that I had a good feel for the on-screen cues, and that helped a lot.

Haven't played any career yet, getting together with my brother this weekend and planned on jumping in then.

PS4 doesn't have any legacy DLC up yet, which isn't surprising considering Sony's track record of publishing anything on time. I'm okay with a decent portion of the RB4 disc set, but I'd love to get a jump on downloading the old stuff.

I would try streaming some from PS4 but judging by other streams, all game audio plays except the actual song, so eh. The game also completely blocks PS4 Share button video saving, so I can't even save and then just upload a video. Really disappointed in that aspect. I can understand audio being muted on a Twitch stream or YouTube throwing an ad or something after the fact, but I don't see why disable the system-level function of local saving. Maybe I'll try setting up my digital camera and filming something.

Like I said, my only other guitar has been a RB1 so the new one is better in every way because it's been 8 years since the old one came out, lol. The buttons are quieter, the strumbar is tighter, the tilt works.

I don't know what gear you have so I don't know if you'd have the same situations.

Is this worth getting if all I plan on using is guitars? Are there going to be a ton of songs I can't even play if I don't want to use drums or the piano?
