I wish there was an option to buy the new instruments but with a code for the digital game. It's rare that I buy a digital game but this is one that I would really want in that format. I still have my old equipment and it works fine, but I want the upgraded sets.

That's a good point. I'd rather have this digitally for sure. I use so few disc games though that I guess this won't be too big of a deal.

If there is a digital copy of the game available, I may buy it and then sell the physical copy from the full set I'm for sure buying. If I could do that without losing more than $15 I think it would be worth it to me.

Half of them I've never even heard of. From looking around it seems a few have a connection to Harmonix, like the old bonus song bands.

I like the 4 Non Blondes song, but it seems like a bad Rock Band pick. Probably better as a RB3 song. Feels like it would've been good for the pro guitar crowd.

Fall Out Boy is usually really fun for me (on drums) in Rock Band, so happy about Centuries. I only know a couple Halestorm songs, but this is one of them so that's cool. Heart is awesome, but the song choice is confusing. Should be good, but I was hoping for Magic Man or Crazy on You.

I've loved Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo since the old Mean Gene video on WWF Piledriver, so very excited to have it in RB4.

And after listening to more of the soundtrack on Spotify, I have no idea who the audience is for Lightning Bolt - Dream Genie.

I don't like the new art changes to the fret board and buttons. I also wish it was a bit more transparent if that makes sense. In general, the buttons kind of blended better with the art design back when. Now they are bulky and not very glamorous all the meanwhile.

Look at Rock Band 2 for an example of what I mean.

Personally, I think they're overdesigned but maybe it'll look better when it's actually on my TV.

Dream Theater isn't a band I'll be playing songs from often, but the little drum rolls there are impossible for me to accurately process. The combination of the color, the thickness of the notes, and the animation within them is wreaking havoc with my brain, lol.

Okay, well those look better than the last one I posted, and you might be right on the overdesigned look but I think there's another issue. I think there's just a problem that it looks very static. That gloss lighting should be dynamic in a way, like watching cars drive in a lit tunnel.

At least they're not as bulky as before, but I think there is still some work to do there.

EDIT: Watching the Dream Theater video, it actually looks like they do kind of orb. Yeah, it'll probably look better on our TV's. I still wish everything blended better with the background though than being way in our faces.

Van Halen - Panama just announced today.

Guessing it was a "Big Artist Announcement" that was supposed to come today.

I think it's cool, Van Halen had a GH game so they haven't been on Rock Band yet
