Piano not supported and I'm not sure there have ever been drum-only songs.

Ok good to hear. I thought I remembered some songs that required the piano. Think you are right about the drums.

I'd give their Spotify playlist a listen and see how you feel about the songs. That's probably the best way to see if you'd like it.

Favorite 'little thing' so far: they use the light on the Dualshock 4 to mimic the in-game concert lights while playing.

I am confused is there a way to download the songs you owned for this game yet? The DLC and songs from rockband 1 2 ect? I am going to want a little while to get rock band 4 because I am playing a lot of Madden, NBA, NHL and batman right now but it would be nice to be able to down load my songs before I get the game for ps4.

I really hope they allow the music to be heard when streaming. I watched a stream today and all you could hear was the user talking during it. Rock Band streams are pointless if you can't hear the music.

Are some streamers doing things to get the music on their stream? Looked at a couple random ones and could hear the music OK.

DLC? Kind of. They started going up late Friday night. There are still some issues, but a decent amount of songs correctly show as free if you already purchased. Songs you purchased as part of a pack are showing as unavailable because it already knows you own the pack. Stuff like that will get sorted out though, of course.

Downloads of disc exports are now said to not be available at launch, with more information coming "soon".

If they're on PS4 they must be using an extra mic or have the camera placed close to the TV. If an Xbox stream...maybe they don't have the same issue where the music track gets muted?

Haven't gotten into career as planned yet, but was able to play a decent amount in Shows mode. I didn't have certain planned set lists, but I liked scrolling through in RB3 and putting together a set from time to time, but Shows is still cool.

You pick the first song, then after that get the choice to keep playing or quit. If you keep playing it turns to the vote system where you get a choice of specific songs or basic topics like "Play a song from 1984" or "Play a song with a female vocalist". I like that you have a little control over it, but there's still a random factor if you pick one of the basic groupings. After a while in RB3 I'd forget I had certain songs, so I'm looking forward to all the exports and DLC being up to give this mode more to work with. I can see a lot of "I have this?!" moments coming.

They were all Xbox streamers, now that I think about it.

Oh ok I also looked last night and saw that it was said that legacy DLC was now up to download for xboxone and ps4 but it is not up for ps4. On ps4 it just has preorder on the ps4 store for rock band and doesn't have the option that they say you have to pick so they kind of misinformed people about that. I just looked the other day at the list of songs in rock band 4 and the song list is kind of weak. Really the only great soundtrack was rock band 2 though. Like half of the songs I don't care for in rock band 4 and it was kind of like that in 3 and 1 to. Luckily with DLC and with disk exports there are a lot of good songs to play in these games.

Their directions are incorrect right now, yeah. Maybe after everything is uploaded it'll correctly sort under Add-Ons in the store. For now, you can just go to New Add-Ons on the PS4 store or the PSN web store.

As for RB2 being best...meh. Haha. It's my least favorite. Right now I rank them 1, 3, (and way off in the distance) 2. We'll see where 4 fits in as I play more.

Wow really? I thought RB2 had easily the best songs in a rock band game. So you can find the adds on if you go to new add-ons right now just not under rock band 4?

Going through and downloading some of my songs now. I'm correct in assuming this billy Joel pack will now work well with guitars only right? Really want to buy it but kind of skeptical.

Especially since most of the songs are in a bundle called "billy Joel piano challenge"

Yeah, you're good. They all have guitar parts, just named "piano challenge" because it was a pack with tough piano songs. I think one of them is lacking a drum part ("She's Always a Woman", maybe?) but guitar is on all of them.

Hey smash, will dlc songs have freestyle solos as well? From videos I've seen on YouTube it looks they do. Just want a conformation.
