Re: Mad Max
I don't know if it leaked early or people were speculating, saw a lot of talk about that being the score on twitter the other day. Who knows then, I never actually went to IGN to verify, was on my phone. Not that I trust IGN reviews anyway.Comment

Re: Mad Max
Sounds like the overall consensus is that this game is a lot of fun and worth the purchase.
EB Games has a promotion right now where you get $30 extra for 3 game trade-in's.
Still not sure if I'll be getting this or NHL16.
This game sounds sooooo much fun though.Comment

Mad Max introduction video -
NOTE / WARNING: Be advised that this contains the actual introduction of the game so if you don't want to see it early or be spoiled, DO NOT WATCH!!! -

Intro and music reminds me of a certain movie that was released in 2008. And it actually fits considering the movie. LOL.Last edited by daniel77733; 08-30-2015, 02:42 PM.Comment

Mad Max
I had a concern about the game being easy but damn was I wrong. As I've progressed through the game it has gotten extremely tough for me. I'm a average gamer and I'm dying nonstop. I'm getting attacked by snipers/convoys and god knows what else lol.
I can't find any water and I'm getting really low on fuel. I'm resorting to running over lizards and dog food for health
I'm ready to admit this is my sleeper game of the year
UPDATE: So I found the things that I thought I needed fuel/food only to get my butt whooped up on by some enemies called "WAR BOYS" and "KAMAKRAZEE"
To be honest I don't think I've even scratched the surface of this game

Re: Mad Max
Some will hate me for suggesting this, but from what little I've watched (haven't even seen the movie, might not before getting a shot to play this) it sounds like it might have been kind of neat to optionally have a Watch Dogs invasion-style mechanic for some of these 'i got jumped by...' moments.Comment

Re: Mad Max
IGN 8.4
Game Informer 7.5
GameSpot 5
Mad Max offers great car combat and some gorgeous scenery, but with simplistic fighting mechanics and tedious activities, it quickly loses its luster.

Re: Mad Max
Reading some of the complaints about the open world in the reviews is what I feared. I've grown tired of the Ubisoft formula of putting uninteresting side content just to pad the games length. Just too many open world games have so many meaningless missions. Hopefully games like Witcher 3 and MGSV push developers, since those go above and beyond other open world games in terms of filling the world with interesting content.
I'll probably pick it up on a sale at some point though, but I'd rather put my time in MGSV now.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Not going to mention MGSV since I obviously haven't played it yet and won't until after Mad Max but The Witcher III definitely raised the bar in regards to side content but only because of the stories attached to them. The objectives were still the same, hack and slash enemies and/or use your Witcher senses.
To be perfectly honest and this includes Ubisoft games which are some of my favorites but EVERY open world game becomes repetitive. It simply comes down to whether or not you're enjoying what you're doing over and over to keep doing it.
Mad Max looks exactly like the kind of game that im not going to get bored or tired of simply because it looks so much fun to play that even if im doing the same thing over and over, im still having a blast so why stop?
Tonight can't go fast enough. LOL.Comment
