I wanted to continue my story, but without that option, it felt hollow. Dumb, I know.

I'm really looking forward to ME:A though. This game looks phenomenal and I'm going to look forward taking my time and exploring as much as possible.
First off...I completely understand. That would suck.

However, you should totally try Mass Effect 2; longer game than ME1, better game play, and good side missions. The ending to ME2 is a bit disappointing story wise, but the final mission and the choices you have to make there are so fun. I could talk to people for hours about the choices I made vs what they made, etc.

Anyway, glad you are excited for Andromeda

This is my favorite franchise of all time so I'm counting down the days.

This comes out around my birthday so I sure as hell will be taking a few days off to play this.

A lot of Mass Effect fans really don't like ME 2 because it hardly advances the plot of the trilogy along, in their opinion. That could be true, but I never really thought about it that much. ME 2 for me though is easily my favorite of the series.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I totally understand the story complaints, especially in retrospect. However, in the moment:
          1) You had no idea where it was going and didn't know the story wasn't really that advanced
          2) The side quests, main plot and key decisions you made were so much fun
          3) You could get so much deeper into relationships in ME2 and the depth of things you could read or delve into in the Citadel and elsewhere was awesome.

That's how I'd respond to those people. Glad you liked it too.

I agree with all those points. ME2 is probably my favorite of the series and those side quests and decisions were so much fun.

This is my favorite series ever and that includes the Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Uncharted games that I also love.

ME2 was a much improved visual game from ME and I enjoyed the story and DLC.

Really the only thing that I didn't like in the Mass Effect series was planet scanning, but I'd just listen to music when I did that so it wasn't a big deal.

This game looks awesome and the characters sound really cool. My wife already was warned that when this comes out I will be in the man cave for several days. She's a gamer too so she understands.

Happily have this pre-ordered. ME2 one of the best games I have EVER played. I only hope I can finish Nioh and Horizon before this comes out.

This is how I felt with ME2, along with controls/combat being evolved.

3 started losing me a bit, especially with how it ended.

I'm interested in Andromeda, but just kinda waiting to see how it is. It's been so long since I've played a ME game it's kinda less on my radar now.

Hopefully it's a stellar game with a great story, I just don't know enough about it so far.

I am so tempted but I have a problem. During these next 2 weeks my parents are in town visiting. I just can't justify jumping in and out of this game. When I sit down to play it will be at least 2 straight days of Mass Effect commitment. lol

I've already scheduled time off so I will likely hold off but but the temptation is huge.

EA Access to this game won't be full access. I don't like this subtly changing the terms of how EA Access works. The promise was, and what I paid for, was unfetttered 10 hours of access to the title without restriction.

EA Access is still a great value but I don't like the idea they may start changing terms like this. With that being said I probably won't play this much since my game will be on the PS4 Pro so this will all just be wasted time on the Xbox One.

I just got an Xbox One S about 2 weeks ago (for $150!). I'll play the 10 hours on it but it'll be all MP. I'm getting the Deluxe version for PS4. That's when I'll start my SP playthrough.

You get unlimited access to games in the vault, but the early release access does state that you get an exclusive trial.

From the EA Access about page:
                                • Unlimited access to The Vault, an ever-growing collection of EA's best games on Xbox One.
Exclusive trials of new EA games, available before the title's release date - no full game purchase necessary.

With the keyword there being trial, it doesn't seem like they're promising full game access before release.
