Good stuff, Rudy. I think this game could become a regular in my rotation once I start improving a little bit. I see the potential

      Re: For Honor (PS4/X1/PC)

One last thing. If you play Dominion (4v4 plus minions and battling for 3 zones) be smart about it. I was definitely not smart when I started playing, just rushing into zones, rushing to find opponents and then dying.

There are 3 zones to capture for points in Dominion. Normally (like Citadel) there is one zone closer to each of your spawn points after death and one in the middle. The zones controlled near the spawn points (A and C in Citadel as example) can heal you when you aren't fighting and you control it. There are no minions there. So if you are hurt, run back to your zone and heal if you can. Also, try to stay in the healing zone closest to your spawn point. If you rush off to the spawn point of your opponent at the far end you can often sneak some points by taking it if nobody is there. But if you go alone and they have 2 guys in there you are in trouble. And remember, when they die they will often head there if you take it. So run unless you have a team member with you! With the revenge meter they have actually made it possible to take on more than one person but it's not advisable (use R1+R2 for AOE attacks if surrounded with revenge).

The middle zone with minions is B (for most maps like Citadel and Sanctuary Bridge, one cool board is different and starts with an S and that middle zone is C I think but my memory fails) does not heal you but grants more points I believe when you are in it and in control. There is often a lot of action there and this is where the minions/soldiers will be. It's normally best in Dominion to fight with a companion by your side. Being a hero and taking on more than you can handle results in death. Try to stick close to someone if you can.

Patch v 1.04 out now. Doesn't sound like it does a whole lot. Guess a hot fix for a few things.

Three stories broke about Ubisoft's release of For Honor back on launch week: all of them about balance issues and bu...

So I've finally made my way into the online world of this game. Man is that 4 vs. 4 Elimination mode fun! I hooked up with some other low-level dudes, but we more than held our own out there. I've gravitated towards Nobushi right now. I think I'll rock with her for a while.

I like the change to the conqueror.p to prevent shield bash spamming. Really like them removing the boosts in Elimination for the first 20 seconds. I hated it when people ran to boosts away from fighting at the start of the match.

Patch goes live tomorrow at 8 AM EST. Also, the two new heroes should be coming soon for season 2 along with possibly ranked matches and other new things (that info I saw on a twitter account, not link below).

                  Re: For Honor (PS4/X1/PC)

It's a good thing I have max gear from my Warlord because I'm very average at this game. I still enjoy it but when I try playing with a different character I struggle learning new moves and I'm a target in certain modes without gear. I'm still not good enough at counter guard break.

I got my first hate message on PSN with someone calling me f'ing trash. I don't even know exactly why (I may not be good but hardly worthy of hate mail!). My team lost and I was 7-6 during the contest. I'm not great but I don't spam or push people off ledges. The only thing I will spam is my zone attack in revenge mode but that's understandable when it's 2 or 3 on 1. Everyone goes nuts when you can trigger revenge. It was a skirmish match!

The servers have been bad. Lots of sync issues tonight. Extra people on?

Season 2 update released. Update is just over 10 GB on PS4. Two new characters, new maps and some other stuff. New Epic drops automatically for anyone rep 5 or higher. My son has the season pass but I do not although I have 15,000+ to buy one of the new characters if I want.

                      Re: For Honor (PS4/X1/PC)

The new characters are pretty cool. The Centurian has a powerful knock down move and his style reminds me of the Warlord. The Shinobi reminds me of a cross between a Peace Keeper, Shinobi and Berserker. The Mortal Kombat pull them in move is cool. They have some quick combos but they don't have much health. Both characters have cool executions.

Why on earth didn't they make the maps in Dominion geared more to the new maps? I played for 1.5 hours and got the Forge once. Haven't seen the other map. The Forge is nice. Reminds me of the Citadel Gate with close zones. I wish I could change the look of my new gear to match the cooler looking older stuff.

Just wanted to chime in again to show some love for this game. I think it's quite underrated, I have a great time anytime I get on. Here's a fight I had against a guy earlier -- hell of a scrap. This is such a unique game, hopefully Ubi continues to support it for a long time.

I'm still enjoying it. I think the new Centurion is over powered though. He can spam his charge, hit you, knock you down and jump on top a bit too easily imo. Too many unblockables as well.

So many people are so good at this game now. If it wasn't for gear score I would get killed quite a bit. I am liking Dominion the most for the last while.

Shame because I really enjoyed the game and put a ton of time in but Ubi acts like they care about their customers, but they try to only do the bare minimum necessary to keep them from completely going away.
