I got a shout out in this video at around 19:00, lol. If you've watched this guy's videos on F13, they are far superior to all the others that I've seen.

If you're interested in this game, follow this guy. I've posted alot of his videos on this thread that show how the game works but he has videos for each room in the virtual cabin.

In his virtual cabin videos he details which movie virtually everything in the cabin is from. Pretty cool, if you love the movies.

ETA is October 2016 with a broader goal of Fall 2016. There is supposed to be a closed Beta on PC in September. If that goes off as scheduled, I'd guess October is realistic.

Aside from that, it's anyone's guess. However, I follow the game closely and there has been no indication of any delay to this point.

That's the target date (though I think it will be missed) for the next Friday the 13th movie from Platinum Dunes so unless the movie is bumped from there soon, they wouldn't release the game then.

I hope the movie makes the January date. They apparently are in negotiations with a director, the script is done, and they just received a tax credit to film in California I think. So it looks like the wheels are finally starting to turn.

As far as the game, I just have a feeling there will be a delay. Probably a couple months. Which to me is fine since it can only help make the game better.

And man, the little details are great. This game seems to really be a love letter to the fans. I honestly thought this game would be phoned in at first. But these guys are really looking to nail the feel of the series.

I don't know anything about Alien Isolation but this game is a 1v7 multi-player.

One player is Jason whose job it is to kill everyone else. The other 7 players are counselors whose goal is to escape. Though it's 1v7, it's also described as "1v1v1v1v1v..." because ultimately, as a counselor, you don't care of any of the others survive.

Everything you said about the movie is correct.

As for the game being delayed, it wouldn't shock me but there are no indications of it yet. If they meet their target of a September beta, they should be good to release this Fall.

There aren't any announced plans for the Virtual Cabin to be in the game. For now, it's PC only and pre-launch only.
