I have been a huge Jason fan since I was about 9 years old. I'm 42 now (sigh).

I can remember when I believed the series was done. Part V was a memory and it seemed Jason was dead after Part IV. Then in May 1986 I was watching TV in my basement after school and I saw the trailer for Jason Lives.

I was ecstatic! More Jason! That was the first one I was able to see in the theater (I've seen them all on release day since) and it's still my favorite of the series (Part VII Jason is my favorite Jason though).

I think this game looks fantastic and I can't wait to play out my own mini horror movies every time I play this game after it releases.

I've read alot (and watched dev interviews) lately about this game and the amount of detail that has gone into creating authentic maps. If you're not a big fan of the series, you won't appreciate some of the details.

If you have any interest at all, I'd recommend going to the game's website. There, you can preorder a digital copy of the game for $30.

So the retail price is $30? If so that's extremely fair for what we are getting imo.

And Steeler, I'm a bit younger so I didn't catch them in the theaters, but I got into them in high school and rented them all and been a huge fan ever since. My favorites are IV and VI.

I'm 44 & also have enjoyed the films over the years. I really only like 1-4 as I prefer human Jason over zombie Jason. I did enjoy part 6 though. Can't wait for the game.

No clue what a digital copy will cost at release but on the website a preorder for a physical copy is $60 but a digital copy is $30.

Jason X was so bad that it was actually fun to watch. But part VIII is absolute putrid. lol

And yeah, Freddy vs Jason counts and I loved it. And I also really liked the 2009 reboot and it made Derek Mears my favorite Jason. I hope he's back for the new one.

Part 2 is my favourite by a large margin.
It's grounded in some realism and the pillow case for a cover, plus coveralls is way scarier than the hockey mask IMO.
My 12YO son dressed up as him for Halloween last year and he scared the crap out of a few people.
We were driving through town when we stopped at a redlight. There was an older couple stopped to our left.
I told him to roll down his tinted window and then slowly turn his head towards them and put his finger to his mouth in a 'shhhh' movement.
He did it just as we were pulling through the intersection. The look on this older lady was priceless, haha.

Part 1 is my 2nd favorite and Part 6 is my guilty pleasure.

Part 7 - Was that the one where there was a girl with the power to move objects with her mind? LOL. I loved the doctor in that flick- he was such a jerk/coward...lol


Part 1 was scary as hell to me..Have not seen it in a LOOOOOONNNG time so it may not be anymore(Saw this when I was 12 or so)..
