Confirmation that Jason from Parts 2 and 3 will run in the game just like in the movies.

Some more clarification on single player...

You will always play as Jason, there will not be an option to be a counselor and have a "bot" Jason. They said it would be extremely expensive and difficult to make a "bot" Jason.

It would be nice to have the option, but ultimately I just want to play add Jason anyway.

Counselors can climb through or dive through (with a chance of sustaining an injury) windows. Jason cannot.

I know this isn't a thread for the movies,. But I think we can do a little movie talk since this thread has some traction.

Anyway, it was announced today that the new movie will begin filming in early spring in Georgia with Breck Eisner as director and casting starts next month. So some good news about the film finally. Looks like it's gonna happen for real this time.

And here is the poster IMDb is using on there page. Not sure if it's real or not.

What I'm hearing is an October 13, 2017 release date. I hope the rumored/targeted release date sticks this time.

There were small things about the 2009 movie that I didn't like but, overall I thought it was good.

I was very happy with Jason in the re-imagination and I thought Derek Mears did a great job. Jason was awful, in look and portrayal, in FvJ so it was a relief to me that he was done right in 2009.

Totally agree on all accounts. And it looks like they are gonna hit that date. From everything I've read Paramount and Platinum Dunes are giving this the royal treatment. Paramount is all in on the movie and want it to a blockbuster.

I guess they got the stuff out of the way they needed to before they put all their eggs into this, hence the delay. Now they are fully focused on it.

I'm so pumped for this! I'm not huge on singleplayer stuff so I was a little disappointed for the delay but I have no problem waiting to get my hands on the multiplayer. Running for your life, stalking campers, man this is going to be so great!

The great thing about single player is that the game will still be playable if/when the online community dies. I will never tire of this game so I want as much longevity as possible.

Finally got around to buying this and it arrived today. Almost 7 hours.



Also bought "His name was Jason" and it should arrive tomorrow.
