Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
There are games out there that are 3rd person or both 1st and 3rd. But Battlefield is just not that. I can't see any way they would ever "patch" 3rd person into this game. You do that and its a TOTALLY different game. Nothing would work or be balanced properly.
I am not shooting down your idea at all man, or saying its a bad idea or that 3rd person is not good, not saying that at all. Its just not as simple as a patch and would literally create an entirely new game.

Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I will be on before the top of the hour if anyone on PS4 wants to hook up.
Edit: I may have to watch the end of game 7 first...

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I saw where some people were having the Hardcore vs Normal discussion earlier.
For me, the reasons I prefer Hardcore are that I hate bullet sponge type games. Sure, it is more challenging to shoot someone moving 6-8 times compared to 3-4, but I just prefer the style of shooter where a few shots and your dead. It's also hard to survive when you die just as quickly. I also prefer the pacing of Hardcore. It may not be a tremendous difference, but Hardcore is generally always going to slightly slower and more tactical gameplay. Camping is more prevalent, but that isn't something that has ever driven me wild. If the other team wants to sit away from the objectives, their loss, if they set up in a strategic way that adds to their defense, then that just adds to the strategy and makes attacking more fun for me.
The little things like no map, no spotting,no hit markers are all things that I prefer as well. I'd be happy if the game followed Rainbow Six and made it to where you didn't even get an indicator for your kills. I'm all for absolutely no HUD at all. I doubt they'll go that far with it, but I would be a fan. I'd also love to see realistic magazine/clip management, but I know Dice will never do that with a series as 'mainstream' as this.
It's not that one mode "takes more skill". Both require different things from the player. It really just comes down to preferences. I prefer head shots to generally always result in a kill. I prefer as little HUD as possible. I prefer slower gameplay. Hardcore does a better job at providing what I want than Normal.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Hey, I've gone past needing to justify and seeking validation on hardcore vs non hardcore. Play what ya want and have fun. That's really all that needs to be said on either mode.
I'm sure they'll add hardcore mode for those of you who prefer it soon enough.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
What is so good about hardcore? I'd rather shoot someone 3-5 times to kill him then 1 or 2 shots. It takes more skill to stay on target instead of spray in that area and get couple lucky shots and a kill.
Probably a lot more campers in hardcore too.
PS I never played hardcore in bf so basically assuming how it will be.
Also count me in for hopingone of the expansions is WW2 based. That be amazing.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I played a match earlier where I just got mudstomped. I think I went like 9-20 and only got credit for a couple caps. Wish I could sit back and blame randoms like I normally do but it was all me. Just got owned."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
