Yeah, she has to be perhaps the most difficult boss I've faced in a while. I had what I felt was pretty maxed out armor and realized the only way I could beat this thing was to have full rage prior to the battle and then the resurrection stone which gave me full rage. Mind you also this was on easiest difficulty.

I read a dev comment that each Valkyrie could be defeated with L1 armor which is just...idk what version of the game that guy is playing but it wasn't mine.

Totally agree w/ everything you said. I used the identical strategy as you (full rage to start, rage resurrection stone - the 'health' resurrection stone is total BS, by the way - it doesn't even give you full health and the rage stone gives you almost as much health back after you are done punching the enemy, except you also did damage in the process).

I did it on the default "balanced" difficulty, but I was really on the verge of dropping it down to the easiest one because I was making no headway for a long time. I watched some videos on the 'tubes of you' that shows people beating all of 'em w/ L1 gear and taking no damage, and all I can say is, that's way more time than I want to spend getting that good at a game. I barely won by the skin of my teeth on what must have been my 150th try, and I never plan on going back. If I never hear "Valhalla!!" again, it will be too soon....

Agree, I definitely feel like there were times where I took damage because I simply couldn't see someone on my extreme left or right (or behind...'quick turnaround' is such a bad solution to this issue). I feel like it needs to be 'zoomed out' more or something. Not sure but I agree it wasn't great.

Unpopular opinion......



I don't like the direction they went with GoW. The story telling and graphics (4K patch) are top notch but this..... this just ain't it. I almost never get that feeling of Kratos being a bad *** and just running through a hoard because either the camera is trash or because I'm having more difficult battles with common enemies while a ****in statue is shooting fire randomly at me. In previous GoW games, puzzles felt like riddles..... some of these puzzles just feel difficult to be difficult.

I've gone back and replayed every GoW game (even the PSP ones) multiple times.... Idk if that'll happen with this one. Gonna try and push through just to complete it, but it's more of a chore at this point.

I never really liked or completed the prior GOW games because I didn’t like the QTE and I think video game sex and nudity is just done to satisfy horny teenagers lol. I would rather just have great combat and story. So for someone that was basically new to the series I loved GOW4 and the new direction.

Yea I think the new one is far superior. Quite literally my favorite game of all time. I'm doing ng+ on gmgow. I dont have troubles with the camera at all. The amount of content they put into ng+ is very cool.

It’s tough for me, I adore the originals, 3 basically set the bar at epic boss battles so playing through the new one it didn’t feel like the GoW I expected. I ended up loving it for what it was, but I need them to get back into the boss battle bag for 2. I feel much better about this than the massacre that’s been done to Assassins Creed at least.

I agree with the boss fights. The game would have been better with more of them.

Finally gave this game a shot, playing on PS5. Don’t know why I waited years to play this game, but at the same time I’m glad I did because of how it runs on PS5. I’ve only played a handful of hours so far, but I’m definitely loving this game.

I got around to starting the game again. When I first played it a couple months ago, I couldn't get the controls down and had to get to get use to camera. But after the last few days, I got the hang of it. Definitely still holds up very well. One of the games that don't need a remaster. While it is hard to remember how it felt before, but 60 FPS does feel smooth.


Just still disappointed in myself for not keeping the save file. I don't typically delete save files which is why I was disappointed. I would have loved to start off from New Game Plus and not have to build everything back up again

Then I wasn't on PlayStation Plus. I have it now mainly for the PS Plus Collection. I had saved games on USBs. I had games that I played in 2015-2016. But a lot of games I played from 2018-early 2019, I must have deleted. Before I sold my PS4 couple years ago, I saved all the games I had on a USB. I want to believe that somewhere in my house is another USB with more games lol.

It is what it is, but it would have been nice to just start off with New Game Plus. Like with Spider-Man Remastered, it would've been cool

Finally got around to finishing this. I had never played a God of War game before, but I really loved this game. Has anyone gotten the platinum? I have a million games to play but I’m considering going for the platinum since I really fell in love with this game. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

This game is the closest I have ever been to platinum. I'm about halfway through new game plus.
