I started my third or fourth playthrough the other day and somehow never caught the tutorial popup that you can fan a revolver outside of Deadeye. How on earth did I miss that so many times?

It's a lot of fun, though I waste so much ammo lol.

As in they removed the exploit that allowed you to cross into that barren wasteland? Or it's part of the normal map and full of life now?

You can't go there now (single player). I was "saving it" for later and it turns out I waited too long

I have not played the game in a week. Went to load it up and it wants me to buy the story mode. I own the ultimate edition. Only thing available is online mode. Any ideas how to get story mode back?

Are you on xbox with gamepass? Online is free with gamepass right now. So it might be confusing itself. I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Thanks for the response. The free weekend must be the problem. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I will say that it forced me to try online and I didn’t hate it.

                    Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

I must admit that I have been poking around online for about 3-4 days now after creating a character a few years ago but doing nothing but the introduction I am enjoying it.

It has been fun to rediscover the world of red dead. I am in defensive mode as I want to play in the multi player world solo. No interest in a posse or anything. It has been fun doing the trading and collecting quests.

I have been playing through another campaign in story mode, my third, and the online is a nice change. I never thoroughly explored the world post story in my first 2 playthroughs so the fact that online gets you that from the get go is pretty cool.

Just wish my character had a voice but I can get past that.

I’ve been working on my second play through of this game…this time I’m taking my time and not plowing through the story. Making sure I do stranger missions, hunting, treasure hunts etc etc.

I’m discovering parts of the map I never saw in my first play through. And still finding new things.

Shoot, I was taking my time the first time... played about I don't know how many hours, maybe near 150... but was only in Chapter 3 I think.

Then it came out on PC, and I restarted. Still doing the same thing of taking my time, hahaha.

Sadly, I never have time to game these days. I probably haven't played in over a year.

I lived in this games world for probably 3 straight solid months. I will go back for a second play through one of these days. Easily one of my all time favorite games.

My first time I plowed through it, second I unlocked some things, but now in the third playthrough, I am in Chapter 4 and have all the satchels unlocked, and have a lot more progress on the challenges. I only haven't done much with the bandit challenge as I am waiting for post story to do that. Both times before, I had Arthur near the middle road for honor and this time I am keeping it high. You know, minus the running people over accidentally in the crowded streets of Saint Denis.

But I have fully finished one of the challenge completely. Didn't do that the previous 2 times. Not sure if I will 100 percent the trophies or not though, because I always struggle to get gold on the story quests. But I am definitely going for full compendium, getting all the equipment, hunting all the legendary animals, catching all the legendary fish, etc. I am trying to accomplish as much as I can before Chapter 5.

I have kept my Arthur in near perfect health the entire game. I spend week long (in game) excursions camping and wandering around the woods hunting pelts and not really doing much but surviving. It's just so darn relaxing.

Exactly what I have done a lot. Camping, fishing and hunting! Exploration was so cool and like I said…..just living in the world. I truly felt like a cowboy.

Some of the stuff you’ll have to wait for the epilogue…unless you want to risk going into West Elizabeth and taking on the invisible sniper in New Austin.
