    Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

I'm cautiously optimistic about single player DLC for RDR2 for a few reasons. 1, it doesn't seem like RDR Online is jumping off as well as GTA Online. 2, they are still pumping out online stuff for GTA. 3, it may just be me but it really seems like a significant portion of RDR2s base is older, offline types. My son, nephews and their friends, the "always online" fortnite crowd, almost look at the game with disdain. It's a small sample size but I think it means something. We'll see.

I go back and forth on this. I keep telling myself that Rockstar wouldn't include Mexico if they didn't have plans for it.

For anyone that hasn't picked it up...RDR 2 is on sale for $39.99 at Best Buy

Finally in Chapter 6 after taking a lengthy break from the game.

Roanoke Ridge is a pretty cool spot. I had just lost the urge to play the game for a while, but after a small session last night to wrap up Chapter 5 I'm excited about playing it again.

I did the same, twice actually. As much as I love this game, I definitely needed a few breaks from it haha.

As soon as I finished the Epilogue, I started another play through. I got to Chapter 2 and realized there are so many games I need to play, I un-installed RDR2 and jumped into Spiderman (which is amazing!).

I def can't wait to play RDR2 again in the future, I just need a year or more's time away from it.

I must say, great game!!! This is the first open world game (well I think besides The Witcher that I've actually played through to almost completion). All thats needed now is some good offline DLC, i.e. random gang encounters, bounties, etc to keep me going after full completion, (I was pissed with the wild boar hunting side mission ending)

I agree. I teach middle school, none of my students play this game.

Finished the epilogue last night. Just a great experience.

I wish The Witcher had better combat mechanics. The open world sounds amazing.
I'd love a game with that kind of depth but with Mordor combat.

P.S. I finished the game and both Epilogues. I'm now completing a bunch of side missions and generally just having a blast living in this world.
RDR2 is my fav game of all time.

In all honesty, middle school students probably SHOULDN'T be playing this game. Lol!

I was sniffing around for this type of comment to see if what I feel right now is normal. I feel awkward admitting that the game is wearing me out. The side missions are getting monotonous, I'm growing irritated with being pulled into immoral actions, and getting from point A to point B is becoming a chore, to summarize how I am feeling right now. I am going to take a break, just don't know what game will fill the void, I've looked forward to this game for so long.

I like the story, but the side activities don't interest me. The game has some amazing scenery and I can see how the hunting/fishing/camping aspect would appeal to someone and they would just stop on the way to a mission for some side stuff, but it doesn't interest me.

I turned my PS4 on last night and saw just how far I had to go to play the next story mission and just turned it right back off.

Haha maybe not, but that's not the reason. They play GTA, they play all the shooters, etc.

I know for sure they play at the high school level. Not all of them or anything, but there's an audience.

And if there isn't everywhere, I can say I at least influenced some of my students haha.
