    Re: Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

One of my complaints about the first game was the map was so small everything was congested and you couldn’t walk for 5 seconds without getting in a scrap. It was fun but I thought a bigger map would be better which is what we have in the sequel. Instead I find myself missing the smaller and more straight forward map and knowing exactly what story mission was next. This game feels cluttered and like too much busy work.

The one thing that will take this game over the top for me now would be the ability to use random orcs in the pit fights! That would be amazing. Also, a longer mode where I could use the wraith (elf) or some other characters besides talion.

For the past week I have revisited this game and enjoying it a little more. I have mostly taken it for what it is. I have completely gained control of all captains and completing more tasks. I'm waiting for the next fortress I can take, just have one done so far. I still feel crappy I paid 60 bucks for this game, but it's fun for the most part.

Anyone have issues with installing this game?

When I pop in the disc, it tells me it's downloading a 11 gb startup file as well as a 9 gb update.

Yet, the startup file finishes and my system storage (and the game) claim there's only a 699 mb (mb!) File.

Plus there's a pause sign on the game icon. I can't move forward. Can't play the game. Nothing happens.

The game is apparently 30 gb big but none of the files being downloaded are that much. And then there's the added oddity of the application file only being 699 mb.

If anyone has had this happen and figured out what to do, please let me know. I'm not really looking for suggestions. I've done a lot of googling and none of the solutions are solutions. I don't need more disc space. I have nearly 800 gb of free space. I don't need to delete and reinstall. I've done that five times.

Need actual solutions if anyone has them.

Edit. Exchanged for a new copy and it works.

I'm surprised how much I like it. I was turn off by the big buzz about mircotransation . I didn't need to spent any money on mircotransation. I played over 50 hours and pay 40 $. For me was mafia 3 more a grind than this game. Shadow wars could be shorter maybe 5 -7 Stages. Overall I give it a 8.0 Shadow of Mordor was so good, it's tough to make a better game than Mordor

I'm liking it as well. I haven't gotten to the armies part so I'm not sure how much work it will be but I love running up on orcs and completing missions.
