Played an hour tonight and decent story to start. I thought I read you got a lot of abilities at the start but you don’t. You have to earn everything all over again. One skill was new. Very much the feel of the old game so that could be good or bad if you loved the last game vs got burned out on it. I think the graphics have been improved and the colours aren’t quite as drab. Three difficulty levels and lots of rpg upgrades.

I do think Tallion looks quite a bit better and so do the textures. I wish there was a way to jog in this game lol. After playing other games the movement (and being the X button) takes some getting used to. You either walk at a very slow pace or run around like a crazy person.

The game has a ton of stuff in it with RPG. New gem stone slots to mod things and I think that's where micro transactions come in to play. New mission types and things. Still finding my way through the game. Been killed a couple times already on Normal.

Great game. If I recall correctly, in the last game, I don't think the camera was as close to Talion as it is now. There's something about the camera thats slightly off putting to me at the moment. Wish I could pull the view back just a tad bit.

That would be nice. I was in a fight this morning and it was so dark I couldn't even tell who I was for awhile lol.

For me its not so much while in battle, it seems like the camera is too close while just walking and looking around.

This game sure makes excellent use of HDR. I know you cannot necessarily see this one if you're not on an HDR monitor and such but...wow...stunning graphics on the PS4 Pro!!

I have the best story to tell you guys about this Captain that had killed me and embarrassed me big time in a fight. After I died I hunted him down and we had this long fight that seemingly took forever. I must have killed like 20-25 guards of his and the bastards just kept coming.

So I get him to be nearly alone, maybe a straggler or two is all and they weren't doing much, and the guy decides to run, as they tend to do when they are about dead. Well I don't know why but this made me so freakin' angry....

I give chase and one thing I remember as I'm running after him is his fear of burning to death right? We round a corner and lo and behold, it is a very narrow alley with a whole wall of those drums that explode like the 4th of July when you shoot them...I stop chasing him and he keeps running right into this alley with the wall of flammable drums..

I'm about to get off the kill shot but then all of a sudden all these idiots who were chasing me start hacking at me...I desperately maneuver away from these guys and manage to get my single shot off towards the wall of barrels.. The shot rings true and hits home......BOOOOM!!

The camera zooms into him as the entire wall blows up and sends him ragdoll'ing into the wall burning alive and then the scroll comes up that he X's out his name and says he burned to death.

What a fitting end to a cowardly Captain, to die in the way he was most afraid of, running like a little bitch...I don't think I will forget that kill for awhile..EPIC!

I’ve had a captain betray me, mostly blood brother stuff. I just finished a tough fight and was looking for the next mission when an Olog betray me while holding another captain by his head, and then 4 other captains joined him at once. In one moment I lost 6 captains.

Edit: And on of the captains who betray me was blood brother to another, so I’m sure I’ll see him pretty soon.

Edit 2: Soon as I sent this message, he jumped me.

I have a stupid question. I rented the game first to see if I liked it. If I get the game digital will I be able to continue where I left off? I am on ps4.

                    Thanks.

Get this, I just had one of the craziest moments!! Didn't know that this could happen. So I get struck down and I don't have a counter hit available to save my life.

The orcs sword was on its way down to split my head, when all of a sudden I hear the clank of a deflection and the orcs name X'd out. I get up and hear someone say something (All I could make out was "ranger"), and I see one of the Minis Ithil soldiers run off (I'm still at the very beginning of the game in the burning city where the soldiers in black armor are roaming around).

Pleasant surprise I must say, because as you all know, in most games, the movie "extras" are just fodder. Nope, not here. He actually deflected a killing blow AND killed the orc!!
