Assassin's Creed: Origins

Ubisoft has confirmed there will be a new Assassin's Creed released this year (supposedly called Origins). The AC franchise in my opinion is one of the best in gaming and I am hoping they knock it out of the park after taking a year off.

They took a year off? Didnt Syndicate cone out last year? I still haven't played it.

I believe Syndicate was released in 2015.

I felt the same way, but he's right, it was 2015. I enjoyed it, but got part way through and I've realized I have AC fatigue. Maybe this'll wake me up a bit. Black Flag was a bit better/different, so this might be more like that?

Syndicate was released in 2015. I completed it 100% and enjoyed it very much. Pure single player only which was perfect for me. 8.5/10.

Very pumped for Origins. Franchise wise, the order for me is Rogue (9.5/10), Black Flag (9/10), Syndicate (8.5/10), Unity (8/10) and Liberation HD (7/10).

I'm expecting Origins to be the best or at worst, third best for me personally. Can't wait for the gameplay walkthrough at E3.

- Story follows Balak in 150's AD story covers 15 years.
- Rifts similar to the Altair memories of AC2R though on the grander scale of syndicate.
- Arno, Connor featured and briefly playable in one of these rifts. Shay features as the main antagonist and is set in 1799, Cairo.
- Very early hidden blade. Only one blade of course.
- The crocodile is an actual crocodile.
- Story takes around 25 hours. 11 sequences.
- 3 expansions planned to offer new rifts, among other things. Spring 2018 for launch of first pack.
- Tailing is minimal.
- Customization is varied. Armor upgrades return as well.
- Akhom is final name of eagle, very prominent gameplay feature.
- Seemless open world, traveling from each city, deserts, Oasis and various islands in the Mediterranean.
- You have a base that is very customizable and is located in Alexandria.
- Health System is like The Witcher 3, you eat consumables and take vials of medicine to recover portions of health.
- Heavy crafting system.
- The "Empire Trilogy" will cover the entire formation of Assassins and Templars. Will not necessarily continue the characters if they are not received well, however they do have plans in place to continue either way. Will not return to annualization instead will have the major expansions.
- MD is heavily expanded on from A3, MD is a male named Shane. With Greek roots, he is a trained assassin who works with Charlotte, Shaun, and Rebecca among a few new faces. William is your mentor but he has lost his way.
- Desmond appears as when he was in the Animus Safe Mode part of his consciousness remained within the data and he helps Shane overcome trauma from the bleeding effect.
- Juno is back putting her plans into motion finally and we will have some major Revelations.
- Boats return but are upgraded like carriages in syndicate.
- Camels and horses are ridable throughout the world.

One last detail,
Release date is 11/14/17

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!! Truly can't wait for E3!!! Three weeks from Sunday (Microsoft press conference will have ACO)!!!

I was somewhat disappointed in the gameplay revealed at the Microsoft and Ubisoft conferences. There was so much emphasis on using the bird to spot enemies. This caused the gameplay to look very slow. However, the setting looked great.

I agree with the poster above. They did a terrible job of displaying the game during E3. Looks like it's going to be the same ol game. Only real difference is the rpg element and being able to use the hawk to spot enemies.

Honestly can't say if this will be a day one purchase or if I will wait for the price to be lowered. I really like the fact that it's set in Egypt though.

Still have to go back and play the last game.

Will be perfectly honest....

I'm a HUGE Ubisoft fan but im not feeling ACO (or FC5) at all after watching gameplay videos. The gameplay looks exactly the same. It's the formula/presentation that's been heavily changed. A ******* compass over a mini map???? NO NO NO!!! Everyone complained for years about Ubisoft's formula or map clutter and now, all the stuff I love is gone. Even worse, majority of stuff everyone complained about for years can be TURNED OFF!!!!

I'll still buy ACO and FC5 but on disc via Best Buy GCU. Buy, play, complete and trade in. Was going to buy both digitally with the season pass but not anymore.

Seriously, im so disappointed and not in a happy mood.

P.S. **** that eagle!!! And the horrible sound effects that are attached to it and the sound effect of icons popping up on the compass. UGH and ARGH.

They add some nice new animations but I still see the same issues that lead me to skip the last 2 games.

I like the setting in Egypt but they gonna clean a lot of stuff up. The sound effect and golden sparkle after looting are terrible.
