It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Off the top of my head I'm gonna say at least 45 hours. It's literally the only thing I have played in over a week. I'll check the stats the next time I'm at my console though to get an accurate number.

Yep more quests. One is going to be about the new organization you will found and then another DLC will be about the ancient pharaohs. One coming in January and the other in March.

                Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins

This might be a weird question but is the game good to play without the day 1 patch? My internet is out at the moment and I won't be able to update it for probably a week or two. The game looks great and I can't wait to play it but I was just wondering if I should wait or go ahead and just get it now

Was glad to read Origins has expanded combat moves.
Dark souls is considered one of the best combat engines for a console action RPG. Very responsive and the game is quite hard, but it is fair. Since the game handles so well, you get better at it over time since all the challenges can be defeated with the right mechanics. Dark Souls handles like an arcade game. It is like the Mega Man of RPGs.

Witcher 3 combat is ok. W3 is more like a GTA type game where the combat and gunfights are secondary to the action. The feel of the combat is not nearly as tight as Dark Souls, but the depth and immersion is second to none.

Regarding the former, the only thing I saw in the beginning region was one topless female wagon driver. Did raise my eyebrows a bit, but really just reminded me of what you'd see in a National Geographic, and was not sexual in nature.

I am playing with blood on by default, but I'm almost positive I saw an option in the menus to turn it off/reduce it. There are some cut-scenes that are fairly brutal, and some combat moves that look like stylized "finishing moves", but nothing that looks too over the top for a visceral combat game. (I'm at level 12 now for reference).

It is fairly minimal. I don't recall specific scenes with nudity, but I know there's been at least one. The violence can be brutal, but the gore itself isn't on the level of The Witcher 3's combat finishers.

You should be able to watch some vids on YouTube to get an idea of the combat violence.

Explicit language hasn't been noticed by me if it's in the game.

Yeah I haven’t noticed any foul language but the blood & gore is to be expected though with a game based around assassinating people. Like someone else said I think you can turn off “blood” which should help.

I didn't beat Syndicate or Unity but I'm still enjoying this. It's essentially a soft reboot of the franchise. I'm happy I didn't wait.

That's exactly my feeling but I think I'm going to break down and buy it before I get Syndicate. I've played all the other Assassin's Creed games in chronological order but I think I'm going to break that trend. The impressions here are overwhelming.
