Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
What's the biggest difference in level that I can take out a Phylake?
If I'm an 18, could I take down a 20?

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
I finished up the story last night. A bit disjointed in the end and not enough build up for some characters.
I have a bunch of map clearing to do, but I might take a break with Wolfenstein before I start that process.
The world and gameplay are awesome. The side quests were overall fantastic doing a great job of fleshing out the world and it's greater conflicts. The main missions felt uneven and relatively shallow for the themes and story it was weaving.
The majority of the game rests on the shoulders of Bayek as he treks across Egypt on his path of vengeance. Thankfully he is well developed and is easy to identify with thanks to his personality.
Bayek, the gameplay, and world more than makeup for a ho hum main story.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Depends on the Phylake to be honest. Some are harder than others. One thing to consider is trying to engage them without other guards around. I had a hell of a time taking down a few of them cause halfway through the fight a patrol of guards would join in.
Best tip is getting a predator bow and headshotting the phylake a few times before he gets to you. You can usually take 1/3 to 1/2 of their health that way. Between that and the ability to enter combat with full adrenaline for the free overpower on them right away, they got significantly easier as I went. Even the ones that were level 40 were pretty easy when I hit 40 myself.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
I recommend making sure your melee damage, long rang damage and armor is ranked pretty high. I personally didn't start going after them until I was in my 30s. To be honest their level is misleading. They fight more like a gladiator boss then a regular enemy. So even though it might say 20, in reality I would put their skill level closer to 25.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Am I the only who cleared out the gladiator arena in Cyrenne or what ever you call it in the northwest part of the map ? Come on guys get to it. If you want a challenge, that arena is a MF'ng challenge.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
The first few I engaged were in areas where I had access to a crossbow and just peppered them until they were dead or near dead.
The last one I defeated I was on my horse and just shot him with arrows and then came at him with my strongest weapon.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
How hard are these trials for the armor? I’ve been kinda ignoring them. I’m lvl 30 now.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Where are these trials?
Yesterday I spent a couple hours going after Phylakes, defeating Sobek, and doing random side activities.
I'm still amazed at the game world. I was wandering in the Qatar depression region yesterday on my way to one of the papyrus treasures and the expanse of nothing was impressive.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Are they the timed trials for the animus glitches?
If so I did the Sobek one yesterday, but missed the first one since I was only in the 20s.
