Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
If I just would've been patient...
I reached Level 32 yesterday and was able to take out the first three Phylakes. Just 9 more to go! Lol.Boston Red Sox

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Dang i just looked and i'm at 40 hours. It doesn't seem like that long at all. Ive done about a third of the side quests. I think im going to focus on finishing up the rest of the side quests to prolong the story plus i need to upgrade my level a bit because i'm only level 34.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Honestly, the story felt uneven throughout and moreso in the final act. I pushed through it just to complete and was scratching my head a lot throughout. The middle of the story is fairly interesting dealing with Cleopatra and her rise, but the first and third acts are a mess.
To me it's by far the weakest part of the game. Everything else is amazing. Last night I completed the Phylakes quest and still have the arena in Cyrene to push through. Just roaming the map with a scruffy, ready to brawl Bayek makes up for any inadequacies in the story.

I’ve roamed so much I can’t even tell you what the story is about.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
I tried taking down one of the elephants last night. Those things are pretty ****ing solid. I went after the one outside the Roman quarry camp in the Green Mountains. I managed to get him down to about halfway every time, but then I'd mess up and get stomped or swung with a trunk.

I haven’t even seen an elephant yet and I’m level 20. This game for me is pushing the The Witcher 3 as my top played/currently playing games.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins
Finished up the game (well, the story along with most of the side content). I've learned from the Witcher that if I try to clear every little thing on the map, I get burned out quickly. I did all of the question marks through probably level 30, but stopped chasing them unless they were stone circles after that.
For me, this game has personally passed TW3 as my favorite open world game I've played. I probably have more hours in Skyrim, but this game engrossed me far more than that did. While the Witcher has AC:O beat in the story in characters, I still thoroughly enjoyed the story in AC. What really puts it over the top for me is the combat is miles better than TW3 IMO, but that's to be expected I suppose given that TW3 is a few years old. Along with that, I've always loved ancient Egypt, and this game was so immersive in making me feel that I was actually there.
Not much more to say that guys like GMSS haven't already said to be honest. I just loved the game, and it wasn't even on my radar at all a couple months ago. I guess I have Destiny 2 being a disappointment to thank for that, as I never would have given this a second look unless it was on sale down the line. Now to wait for the DLC content to drop.Comment
