Unity and Syndicate were both good. Origins is great.

I'm wondering if the Witcher-like quest system from Origins is going to be introduced in Far Cry 5. I sure hope so.

Oh, don't worry. None of the rest are like that.

I like the twist. I ultimately found myself feeling sorry for Hyena, couldn't say that about any of the others.

Having a blast so far. I remember when the last one came out I blew through it in a couple days. Not so much here. So much to do.

I wouldn't have waited either but i'm on the last sequence in Syndicate so I might as well finish it.

                Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins

I had given up on the AC franchise. Have played all of them up through black flag and loved them but just got burnt out on the repetitiveness the franchise had become.

Origins wasn't even on my radar but I read some comparisons online mentioning Witcher 3. Is that a valid comparison? Impressions here are very positive.

Safe to say Origins has renewed AC?

It's been a while since Black Flag. If you were ever going to get back into one, this should be it.

I don't think it reaches the level of The Witcher (honestly, what other game does?), but it certainly tries it's best to reach that level. Bayek is a wonderful protagonist. The setting is amazing. The side quests continually build upon the world and it's conflicts.

To me it's the best of the series.

Anyone have it on the One X? I have it on the Pro but i wonder if it's worth trading it in to get a copy on the X since it should look a litte better.

Agreed. It's really not even a comparison to the rest of the series, it's better in every aspect. The only point of contention I could see for some people is the setting of the game, but for me, Egypt is by far my favorite setting in the series.

I'm up to level 27 now and just cleaned up all of the quests and points of interest in Memphis. Two Phylakes down as well. I love that they are essentially Dark Souls style mini roaming bosses.

To me, this does hold valid comparisons to the Witcher. It doesn't quite reach it from a narrative standpoint, but personally, I'm enjoying the world and exploration aspects slightly more than the Witcher. That, and combat is FAR better in my opinion.

This and Black Flag are neck and neck for me. I just loved the naval aspects of Black Flag.

Though I can find something I love in every AC game. Even III which a lot of people hated. I loved the wilderness/hunting and economy system in that game.

This game sort of takes good things from all that came before and puts it in an improved package.
