I'm going to pick one up again, the wife just gave me the approval.

Smart Move IMO. I love my GC. It may not have as large a catalog as the other systems but it has some of the best games this Gen.

I already have an XBox and just sold my PS2, and used that to pay for this. I never play the PS2 and most of the games seem to be too complicated for kids anyway. Plus, I really wanted to see what Animal Crossing was like. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I actually bought Animal Crossing last week (it came with a free memory card in the case). It's really kiddy at times, but is strangely addicting. :/
What I'm most interested in is that my daughter and my wife and I can each have a house in the game and we can leave notes and things for her. Is that correct? Just seems like it would be a fun thing to do.

the game is entertaining in a somewhat refreshing way. No ending, no fighting, no gunning things down; you just kinda have a little life simulator with tons of events and things going on. Different things happen on different days, you can modify your home; and if you have a gameboy it extends the game a bit more

One of the coolest things about the game is that it has hidden NES games in it, which is always a plus. My wife loves it and forced me to buy it for her again when i picked up a gc for the second time a month ago.
