Mario Kart is still selling for $50 and a controller is $25, that's $75 worth of extra stuff you get. Or you only pay $25 for the system, either way you look at it, it's an amazing deal.

I think it's worth the price alone for Mario Kart, plus I'd eventually get Zelda and that new Zelda coming next year looks sick. Might just be too tempting to pass up...

Just a quick quesiton though, are memory cards a MUST for the GC? Don't know hardly anything about the system, are the mem cards just extra for transporting saves(like xbox) or are the required to save anything(PS2)?
My friend just got that deal. He also just bought a 32 inch TV....
Yes, he is still living in the dorms....

That 32 inch just made him the most popular guy on the floor. Now if only he could finagle a dish up there.... I want a PS2 but I can't find one. Maybe I should get a cube to accompany my box

It is a game that you two could play head to head for a long time because it never gets old. Look into a Mario Party game as well
So two player is fun on this? By what i was reading, it seemed like you had to have four players for good multiplayer. Maybe I'll go get it again. She's going to end up having 4 or 5 games when she gets the system, if I'm not careful.

Gamerush in Blockbuster is having a buy one get one free on all preowned games. I went in there the other night and some of the games are really cheap, you can get Zelda, Super Mario Shunshine and any other older Gamecube game(I'm guessing SSB would be in the list too) for a total of $34(they are $17 a piece). That's the first place I'm heading if I do buy the Gamecube.
