the game is entertaining in a somewhat refreshing way. No ending, no fighting, no gunning things down; you just kinda have a little life simulator with tons of events and things going on. Different things happen on different days, you can modify your home; and if you have a gameboy it extends the game a bit more

One of the coolest things about the game is that it has hidden NES games in it, which is always a plus. My wife loves it and forced me to buy it for her again when i picked up a gc for the second time a month ago.

      Re: Gamecube Holiday Deal..

I've got a Gamecube. I got Animal Crossing two Christmas' ago, and I'd rank it as one of my favourite games of all-time. It is definetely the game I have put the most time into in my entire life.

I admit, it isn't for everyone but if you like you, you usually like it a lot. I used play daily and for the first two months I had it, it was constant playing and my PS2 was never used. I stopped playing it after about nine months of owning the game but it's a great game, good for all ages. It's just not for everyone.

In answer to your question, you can each have your own house and leave messages if that's your thing. You may be wanting to do more though, and I bet you'll have no trouble getting into the game, even if it was at first bought for your daughter.

By the way, in your other topic about Gamecube games to buy for your daughter... I never replied because I do not post too often but my suggestions would be as follows: Animal Crossing, Mario Golf, SSB:M, Mario Tennis, Wave Race: Blue Storm. My suggestions for you, along with these games are Super Mario Sunshine, F-Zero GX, or Wind Waker.

I was thinking of buying the bundle, then exchanging the MarioKart for the MarioTennis...or maybe even Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Thanks a lot for the info Kevin. I took back SSB:M because I thought she might find it too difficult. I think I'll get Sunshine instead. I have my X-Box. I'm just looking for stuff that she will really enjoy. I might look at Mario Golf. She liked playing Hot Shots when I had it for PS2. Everyone says that F-Zero is great. I might get that and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II for myself.

I'd recommened the Metroid bundle. Double Dash is pretty mediocre.

casey, your daughter will probably find SSB:M easier to play than Sunshine. Just from experience, my God Son is 6 years old and he is great at SSB:M. Beats the crap out of me and his father all the time. It is definately a fun game and the controls are easy to use. It is a game that you two could play head to head for a long time because it never gets old. Look into a Mario Party game as well

Well, I went up to Circuit City today to pick up the Holiday bundle, but they were sold out. Best Buy was running the deal too, but they were another 30 minute ride.

So I stopped by EB and asked them about the deal. They had a Mario Kart Bundle, but it only came with one controller, for 100 bucks.

However, they had what they called a "Gamecube Starter Kit". I got the system, 2 games (Mario Kart and Super Monkey Ball), 2 controllers, a carrying case, a memory card, RF adapter, and 2 extension cords...for 149.99.

Not bad, considering I was going to have to buy a memory card anyway. I'm just going to exchange the two games for something that I want.

I was worried about selling out as well, I have been to Best Buy and they have only three on their shelf. I might have to pick it up sooner than later to get the deal.
