Game is coming out June 12th
Theme park management strategy simulators are getting a particularly prehistoric twist with Jurassic World: Evolution which puts players in control of the titular theme park. The game was announced back at Gamescom in August 2017, and now we know when the game will launch.
    Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).
Last TV Show Watched: MARVEL's What If?...(S3:E7).

Won't be surprised to see Microsoft kicking this off in their E3 presentation which is June 10th.

          PC, PS4, and XBOX.

Evidently we're getting more information at the end of March (29th). It is a tad troubling being this close to release and knowing almost nothing about the game, plus the timed release to coincide with the movie. I have to think the game won't get enough time to bake, but I also don't know exactly how long it has been in development.

What did you hear about March 29th?

I hear your concern but I'm banking on Frontier's history with it's past park theme management-style games and it's reputation with story driven games like the Elite Dangerous series.

I know, I'm buying into the hype but I appreciate when devs look into different ways to entertain us.

There was an event in LA recently where some people got to play the game. Evidently any information regarding that event is embargoed by Frontier until the 29th, so that's when we'll see a bunch of gameplay videos going live.

I presume Frontier will want to release their own information alongside with all that (or just before).

If the game ends up being a sort of re-skinned Planet Coaster, I could see it being fairly easy to develop. No idea if that will be the case, however. I never played Operation Genesis, so I know next to nothing about what that game involved.

                      The Deluxe Edition, which is $64.99 gives you an extra pack of dinosaur digs within the game for;

                      Styracosaurus
                      Crichtonsaurus
                      Majungasaurus
                      Archaeornithomimus
                      Suchominus

You also get bonus points for pre-ordering....So the $5 extra sounds to be a better deal than the regular edition. Still, a clever move by Frontier.

                          Re: Jurassic World Evolution

The early gameplay videos do look quite promising. Probably better than I expected. The game is gorgeous to behold. Seems Ian Malcolm has quite a bit of dialogue. I don't want to spoil too much for myself so I'm trying to somewhat skim videos rather than watch thoroughly.

I won't comment much on features right now because I'm not really certain what we're getting come release, but the amount of Dinos looks promising (along with genetic engineering to a degree) and the overall details look well done. I guess we'll see how in-depth the management and park building aspects are eventually.
