I liked the other 2 games but this is a different studio making this game. Makes me hesitant on how good it will be.

Eidos Montreal is making it. They made the Deus Ex games which have generally been good games. I'd be more concerned about their best resources being used on the new Marvel games that are apparently coming out.

Yup. I'm finishing The Last of Us, and Rise is on my list to start after this. I bought it on its release date and still haven't opened the package, which is sad because I got 100% in the first game and preferred its gameplay to Uncharted's.

I loved the previous two very much. I like Rise more, but I think the fact it was the first game I played in the current gen makes it more memorable to me. It's still one of the most visually gorgeous game I've ever played.

I watched a gameplay video and I've seen some stealth mechanics that seem reminiscent of the Batman Arkham series. Actually, this worries me a bit, I'd hate to spend a good chunck of the game waiting people to move while I'm sitting on ledges. But I'm 100% getting it, love the series in all its incarnations.

Very much looking forward to SOTTR as I'll be playing it after Spider Man. Enjoyed ROTTR so much so that it was my own personal 2016 goty.

I finished the story of RotTR over the weekend, although I still have some tombs and other things to collect (still have some for the first TR as well). I'm ready for SotTR now.

I loved the first two game of the reboot and am looking forward to this! The gameplay looks similar, which is great, and they've added some nice touches like rappelling, swinging sideways on the walls, and more underwater traversal. Looks great!

SOTTR looks great and that HUB area is huge. SOTTR and ACO are the two games that could come close to beating out God of War for my 2018 goty. Fall is packed as always.

The game will offer a “new game plus” mode. What is cool is that you retain all your final skills and weapons but the game also unlocks 3 specialty skill trees with new things to unlock.

As usual with Square Enix and ROTTR/SOTTR, it's horrible decisions and the release date that's hurting this game which is a shame because im expecting it to be at least a 9.0/10 for me. I loved ROTTR and Shadow doubles down on everything that made that one great but with more focus on the story and characters which is really the only weak aspect of this rebooted trilogy in my opinion. Everything else is excellent.

Don't know why SE would release this game a week after Spider Man but that is an exclusive so im hoping but not expecting that a good amount of Xbox One/PC only owners pick up the game. For $38 GCU including the pre-order reward certificate, the game is a steal.

Outside of God of War, 2018 has been dead for me but starting with Yakuza Kiwami 2, the end of the summer and fall is going to be packed. Out of the games that im going to be buying and playing, SOTTR is my second most anticipated ahead of Spider Man and RDR 2. It's going to be a great game. Just has a stupid release date in my opinion.

Yea It doesn't make sense to release a game that close to Spiderman, RDR and even 2K I even think COD and AC is in that time frame. I'm not sure what they are expecting as far as sales go It seems like its set to be a disappointment.

For some odd reason Square Enix likes sending games out to die. They're doing the same thing with PS4 exclusive Dragon Quest XI which releases September 4th. It's like, what are they doing? Especially when the entire summer has been dead. SMH. Oh well.

Oh well. I already pre-ordered SOTTR and once I finish Spider Man, that will be my next game.
