I just reserved the value pack at EB. They said I did not need to preorder any games with it.

Re: US PSP Dated And Priced
Definitely getting one if they have a decent range of sport games. The system reviews so far are out of this world good for a hand held (something i'd not have even considered previously)
Me and the wife spend a fair bit of time between two countries and multiple cities. Taking the xbox each time is a hell of a pain.
This baby may be the solution

Re: US PSP Dated And Priced
So far, every single game for the system is a PS2 game. So if you get the game for your PS2 or Xbox, you're basically buying it twice, like MVP Baseball or Madden. They are going to be exact ports. No thanks, add to the fact this will be outdated hardware come November when the Xbox 2 launches and next spring with the PS3.Comment

Ridge Racer - all new game, merely based on classic courses. Made completely from scratch by namco.
Wipeout Pure - completely all new game.
Twisted Metal Head On - completely all new game.
Lumines - completely original game.
Mercury - completely new and original game.
Untold Legends - completely new and original game.
Original GTA, DMC games etc... are also on the way
Also not on PS2
Lumines(which just got a 9.0 from gamespot btw)
Coded Arms
Rengoku-Tower Of Purgatory
Metal Gear Acid
NBA(989 game that looks very good)
Infected
Its not fair to compare a handheld to next gen systems. As far as handhelds go it IS next gen and the hardware is not out dated. To each his ownLast edited by ps2king; 03-04-2005, 09:13 PM.Comment

Re: US PSP Dated And Priced
Every game is made from scratch, my point is, they are all available somewhere else. Don't tell me you are buying the system for Mercury or Luminares? You'll be the only one. None of those games interest me because I've played them all before. You can call Ridge Racer, Twisted Metal, WipeOut, NBA, etc all new games, but in reality, you played them a few years ago on the PS2. They have been cleaned up and now are on the PSP. Sorry, I'm not paying $50 for a game I've already played. I was all over this system when it was rumored at 179 and the games were to be 30-40 bucks. At 250 and 50 bucks a game, it's more than an XBox and 2 games for the system alone. And for what? a crappy carrying case, headphones which don't match the system (why are they freaking white?!), a copy of Spiderman 2 which I own on DVD and will never watch, and a throw away useless 32MB memory card. There is nothing, NOTHING original on this system. Every game that is different is some goofy game that won't sell anyway and isn't worth the $50. Are you going to pay $50 for Mercury?! It's Marble Madness!!! You played it 15 years ago on the NES. Now it's just prettier. Sony blew it on the prices and horrible launch lineup IMO.Originally posted by ps2kingRidge Racer - all new game, merely based on classic courses. Made completely from scratch by namco.

Re: US PSP Dated And Priced
Oh, and Lumines... Think Fantavision meets Tetris.. I bet that game took an entire 2 hours to think out the design. It's a puzzle game, they always get decent reviews. Just remember Fantavision from the PS2 launch. (which for some reason I still own LOL)Comment
