Wondering if everyone else is having this issue in portal. I can play or host a match just fine. When I load into the next match, I can not select any of my load outs and I am stuck using a sniper rifle. Can't change weapons or anything. Any help would be appreciated. If I quit and start a new session it is back to normal.

I picked up EA Play to give the game a try and I was disappointed. I was really looking forward to the game, but I had very little fun.

I did love the weather though. I think there was a sandstorm in one match, which I loved that it felt real and that it affected your sight. I also loved the tornados.

I'll definitely give that a shot, sounds interesting.

PistoleFoley linked me to a Battle Royale mode that I plan on trying too. I love all the options we have in this game.

DICE GM Oskar Gabrielson is leaving the company to pursue a new endeavor outside of EA. The shake-up also includes Respawn's Vince Zampella taking on a bigger role as the new overall boss of the Battlefield franchise, while Halo designer Marcus Lehto is building a new development team in Seattle focused on injecting more storytelling into the Battlefield universe. Ripple Effect, the developer of Battlefield 2042's Portal mode, is developing a new Battlefield experience in the Battlefield 2042 universe.

Byron Beede, the longtime Call of Duty veteran who EA hired earlier this year to grow the Battlefield series as the shepherd of its long-term strategy and business decisions, said Lehto and his team in Seattle will expand Battlefield 2042's narrative across a "variety of experiences." These will lay the foundation for "storytelling opportunities now and well into the future," Beede teased. Whatever Lehto's team creates, it will show up in "later seasons" for Battlefield 2042 and "beyond."

"While he and his team in the Seattle area are just getting started on building the Battlefield world of tomorrow, their work will shape later seasons for 2042 and beyond," Beede said. "This new studio will act as the driver for narrative in tight collaboration with DICE and Ripple Effect Studios to help build great player experiences in the Battlefield universe."

It was very clear exactly what the community wanted.

Why does DICE choose to add stuff or change things we didn't want?

Just had to recreate BFV with a modern setting and good maps. Literally, that was it...I don't get it.

After the recent news I have deleted the game. Maybe they will surprise me and turn things around, but I am mot holding my breath.

I tried to play this last weekend for the first time in weeks. I went to Portal/Rush and the very first thing I experienced was a dead server and a glitch.

I played this game for 10 hours with EA Access. That was more than enough to see the game is a mess and not what a fan of the battlefield series is looking for. I went back to Battlefield 4 , still thousands of people playing, still a great game.

I just don't understand the game dev's thought process. They have a great foundation that is working so why make all the changes/additions that no one asked for? Take Battlefield 4 ,update the weapons and vehicle's a bit , give us next gen graphics , keep the classic favorite maps and add some new maps and sell millions of copies and make huge $$$$$.

I was so looking forward to this game only to be let down big time.

As of today more than 150,000 people have signed a petition to get a refund for the game.

I was one of the lucky ones who was able to get a refund from PSN on release day weekend. Can’t believe what the series has come to.

It's been almost 8 months post-launch and the first new content is finally dropping. This S1 is lasting 12 weeks and contains:

1 new map
1 new weapon (cross bow doesn't count IMO)
1 new vehicle class
1 new specialist
1-2 portal tweaks to server settings

Meanwhile, bugs continue to riddle the game. Maps are have zero cover in multiple places. Portal sounded great in concept but there is so much lacking there too. Content is very weak for anyone that plays the game a decent amount and this new season won't change that.

DICE this is absolutely terrible.

The Portal would have saved this game if they didn't botch it. Now EA will act as if the Portal was a waste and not build on it when it's the best thing the series has going for it at this point.

I can’t even find a game . Nothing shows up in the browser. It’s blank. I connect to conquest and then it says I’m the only one in the server and it’s waiting for 31 players to join. On Xbox series x. Been like this for a few days. I also have cross play on too. Anyone else gettin this?
