Re: Xbox 360 Specs Confirmed
Point something out about the pics.
For anybody wondering, if Xenon will be backwards compatible, well those pics confirm it. With Forza and Halo 2 stats, also your account will be transfered over to Xenon.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Xbox 360 Specs Confirmed
Well, we knew it was going to happen, just didn't know who was going to start it. Microsoft takes first shot at Sony and PS3.
From Allard's speech early today
"One approach, you can say 'hey it's all about the hardware'. Take a super customized approach with a lot of PhDs and you can design your hardware to win at science fairs. Lots of blue ribbons. You can woo over the electrical engineers of the world. () You might go so far as to put a fancy label on it. Forget the fact that it's hard to program too, this is cool!
That doesn't mask the fact that you didn't design it for the developer. It becomes apparent because after you launch a system like that it takes a year before anything worth playing comes out. That's a crime. That's a crime. There are too many good ideas in this room to go that approach.
The science fair approach turns game programmers into hardware schedulers and the only emotion that approach can elicit from you, is frustration."

Also Keynote video one
Right now Team Xbox is just putting up the good stuff, instead of the talking.

enjoy
EDIT: Man that video is kinda choppy. I'll just wait for Microsoft to post the entire speech later on.Last edited by Flawless; 03-09-2005, 04:37 PM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
