they're coming down slowly...I'll eventually have an HDtv, just couldn't swing the cash to do it right...I'd rather have a nicer non HDtv than a bargain basement HDtv that's lacking

Yea its all subject to change but I think what we're seeing will stick. If Sony has more system memory etc... I exepct MS to match it in a heart beat.

About 720p, I'm happy this was my main focus when I bought my HDTV. I made sure my set supported all resolutions natively.

True HD gaming is going to be sick.

1200+ more channels will be up for DirecTV users this summer, again I don't watch TV so I could careless, just keep giving me my sporting events in HD and I'm str8

I agree about the prices of the sets they're up there, but prices are falling by the day.

LOL, dont be fooled. Voom has the most HD channels around, and there arent 1500 as DTV says. Maybe they mean a good 15 channels for each LiL market, but that advertisement is decieving.

HDTV's are coming down in price, and making games compatible would be nice.

I'm SUPPOSED to get an HDTV next year so it's all good there. I'll need to see what this new console looks like and the kind of controllers it has before I go blowing my cash around. I also have to see what Sony has in store for PS3. I want to make the "right" decision this generation.

Compatible yes, but native no. HDTV has a set number of pixels, that number is the native resolution. The tv will convert whatever other resolution it is fed to it's native resolution.
