Ive been hearing that the PS3 will be more powerful then XB2. I think the selling point will be the Online Play. But Im really leaning towards the PS3.

I can speculate, but better in terms of what?

I really don't think one of the current consoles is better than the other, except for the online infrastructures.

I say buy both and forget the system war stuff. PS3 and 360 will be more than enough for me next gen. It's all about the games, and each will have lots of great exclusives. Power wise, PS3 might be a little stronger, but it'll be like PS2 and Xbox now, just reversed.

I agree, except for it being like the PS2 and Xbox, just reversed. It's only a 6 month gap, nothing like 20 months, which is what the Xbox had on the PS2. Powerwise they will be even closer than this gen, assumming the rumored launch dates are true.

Very true, PS3 is actually rumoured to come out in March 2006 in Japan, so that would only be a 4 month difference if Xbox 360 comes out here in November. They'll probally be very similar, each will probally do something better, so they'll end up being pretty even.

I've never been a big Sony fan when it comes to consoles. I chose N64 and Dreamcast over Playstation and then Xbox over PS2. I will be getting an Xbox 360 and not a PS3.

I agree with ya, I think the PS3 will be the better system, you ask why, and I say SONY is making it, they haven't let us down yet have they

Thats cool, I guess thats your opinion and I respect it, but I'm not sure if anyone has told you, you don't have to like Sony, but SONY has been king of the console for the last 10 years and thats a fact

I agree 100%, but you also have to consider the fact that Microsoft entered the console business with the Xbox, Sony already had almost a decade of experience on them.

You are 100% right yourself, thats why I say Sony will always be on point with there consoles, beacsue they been doing so good for such a long time, I just don't think they can be beat. I'm sure Xbox 2 will be great, It's just that I think the PS3 will be better.

Im interested in seeing how Sony plans to have the PS3 and PSP work together. If they find an interesting way to incorporate the two I might end up picking up a PS3 to go with my PSP.

PS3 seems like it will be more powerful, but they need to come out with some good games. As of late it has been all microsoft in the platform exclusive games.
