    Re: WoW OSers?

Debating firing this game back up. I haven't played since right before the first expansion was launched.

Last I remember I had a level 40 something Dwarf Hunter, and like a 20ish Sorceror maybe...

It's been so long. Thinking of just picking up a game time card and giving it a go.

First few days I joined a pug and it seemed like the heroics were just stonewall hard, until we got a guild group in with a tank that knew the fights from the beta and we cleared all the heroics for achievs with only 2 wipes across all of them.

That sounds great. The guild I am is maybe a little too casual, although I was looking for a casual guild. They won't start raiding til' Feb apparently, and as it stands people are too interested in leveling alts than gearing up. My only solution is to run pugs and try to find guilds who need an extra body for their runs.

I'm looking for a new alliance server for my level 51 Gnome Priest. If anyone needs a healer buddy (be warned, i do instances occasionally), then tell me what server you play on and i'll try and get a transfer when i can.

I've made a lot of gold since the xpac. I'm up to 21k on my main, and that doesn't include the 310% flying I bought for him and one of my alts, plus all the mats I bought to level up enchanting and engineering.

Yea, money is too easy to come by. There are no money sinks in this expansion either, so be prepared for inflation real soon. Currently Im sitting at around 300k and there is not one item that I need to get that pulls money out of the economy.

With heroics dropping 83g per completion, quest rewards giving 15g+20g in vendor fodder as rewards, gold just isnt an issue anymore.

Got to 56 yesterday and found a portal trainer...man portals and teleporting are both nice as a mage!

Really looking forward to 60 when I can get a flying mount...

Oh, I just paid 10g for dual talent spec, should I wait until I get near max to create the 2nd one? Is arcane or fire better (my regular one is a frost build)...

I'm at 45 and have a frost spec for leveling/pvp and a fire spec for dungeons. I hear arcane actually does more DPS than fire but I just enjoy the fire talent tree so I use it for my dungeons right now.

I'm 58 1/2 and they're sending me to the Burning Crusade stuff (through a big portal to some other land)...should I hold off and do other things until I hit 60?

I always go at that level. The Outlands will give you alot more xp and better gear to boot. Stay there til level 68-70 and then head on over to Northrend.

Cool, just wanted to make sure.

I will say that the game's kept me at perfect leveling spots the entire time...Back when I was playing vanilla WoW it wasn't this consistent. It's a ton of fun!

                          Re: WoW OSers?

So I'm currently playing the Original Wow with my Dwarf Hunter. I started playing again and my character was at lvl 38, but it seems leveling is easier because now I'm at 43 already.

So my question. What am I really missing out on besides the new races/classes with the expansions? My goal is to hit 55 first, and then decide if I want the expansions or not. Glad to see that I can get caught up with Cataclysm for $80 from the blizzard store, but not sure if it's worth it.

Also I'm cruising around the plaguelands right now. What's a good lvl 40ish Dungeon ?

You're missing out on the end game first of all, plus a lot of content in between, three expansions worth.

As for good dungeons for your level, just press "I" in-game to bring up the dungeon finder. It always matches you up to dungeons appropriate for you level.

Thanks for the tip Trob. I didn't remember about dungeon finder or it wasn't around when I was playing.

As for the end game, that makes sense.
