They are trying a lot of new things with this release. I really hope it succeeds. Really looking forward to trying it. The same guys that did DAoC realm vs realm pvp did this game, and no one argues the success that was DAoC when it came to realm vs realm combat.

Played the first beta religiously the weekend. Since then (and since BWE started after) I haven't played any of the other betas - I may jump into this one though because the other 2 races are supposed to be in... I think.

I'll delete it from my computer ASAP though if I still can't go any further with my personal story.

Friend of mine talked me into getting this so I preordered yesterday to get early access (even though I work all day Saturday so can't really start til Sunday but still a couple days early).

Just reading through breakdowns of races and classes so far I think I'm going to start out with a Norn Elementalist, I played WoW for a while and always liked Shaman and that combo seems to have a pretty strong shaman feel to it so figure its a good starting point.

What's everyone else planning on playing as first?

Not quite sure what I'm gonna roll as to start off with. All my Beta Weekends were spent as a Guardian and I really like the utility of the class. May stick with it, but not 100% sure.

The way guilds are set up on this, I think we should all find our way to the same server and get a guild going. You can be in multiple guilds at once, so it shouldn't be much of a problem at all. I have a feeling that we can get a good community for this game (especially being a no-subscription game.)

Played about 30 mins today on the stress test. Have had the beta for the last 3 or 4 BWE, but only played a combined total of 20 mins max because the performance was just horrible with my video card. ( 7970 )

Logged in today, and the game world was very smooth, so I am very happy about that. Cant wait to get going soon.

That's a cool idea, I like the multiple guild thing that adds a cool wrinkle to it.

I know my friend is planning to play on Jade Quarry so that is where I plan to go as well.

First MMO for me that I don't have to feel rushed to play it every second of my free month to get my monies worth. Can enjoy when I want and from the early impressions that will be often.
